Seen the TV adaptation & interview,I felt so sorry for her - she had obviously been through a lot of cr*p. Iβve often wondered what actually happened to Lucan......

If I was to buy a new,or newer car today & with much improved modern automatic boxes,Iβd definitely take an auto. Stop/start driving these days & me getting older,Iβd take the auto _ every time. Although,as mentioned by barrythebook, the type of vehicle yr driving. Having said that - even modern small engined cars have fine CVT boxes now.

After placing East 17 comfortably on the list sometime ago,I've added - Cliff's Millennium Prayer & the utter plop of Renee & Renato to make my 3.

Some years ago - on Johnnie Walkers sounds of the 70's,he played a track by each of the recently split Fab Four who all had a track in the charts at the time - I was seriously impressed with Ringo's "It Don't Come Easy" although I believe George wrote it for him!......

Great topic because it gives me the chance to share these pics I took of a hill I pass on my way to work. Spring Summer Autumn Winter I am voting for Autumn. It's colourful and sunny enough to enjoy the days without the heat. Spring is beautiful but it can be a very rainy season here. Summer is far too hot in Melbourne with consecutive days over 35+ degrees Celsius and it's bush fire season. Winter is cold, and though I don't mind rugging up and walking, by the end of Winter I've had enough. Great photos ! I've often been tempted to that! Looking at those photos,I can see why I voted for Autumn. summer is the least appealing of those 4 photos!

Autumn just edges Spring for me. I love the light in the early autumn, like I enjoy seeing things flower in spring. Summer is fine - but there is too much expectation & it's nearly always cr*p weather! Winter "is what it is" dark, cold & often wet and/or windy - but at least you know what yr getting! These days it's difficult to get one consistent given day in summer - let alone a few days. We had a "mini heatwave" for a week maximum in mid June & a few days decent weather over the Aug Bank Holiday & that was just about it!...

Sad news - but as said,a good innings. Hard to believe he was 50 something in the 70's! Like Barry the Book said,a good & one of the better 5 minute finishing programmes from the old BBC children tea time schedule. I had an annual one year - think it was 79! RIP

Chisholm was on fine form - "Oh dear,oh dear - the plot thickens".....π When Chisholm & Jones bump into Terry on the stairs, Chisholm actually says "...the plot sickens" Always had a good chuckle at that classic line!...π

Decent & slightly different episode,and again - a strong cast. 3/5 would've felt a bit harsh on it,so gave it a 4!

Worthy of a 4/5,some great moments & one - liners, good locations too. As mentioned - you can tell it was warm! A little far fetched at times. Also, again - as mentioned "Mournful" would've made a great regular character!

Excellent episode - enjoyed watching this one a couple of times, close together s few years back & again yesterday. Jimmy Nail was excellent,as was June Whitfield! Colin Jeavons plays another "weasle - like" character again, after "Bigger They Are" in The Sweeney. Another great actor. I always like an episode when there is not only two things going on - but a few, with the "warranty claim!" .....πππΌ A definite 5/5

A solid & entertaining episode Great cast, too! They might be cool again these days - but that poor lad on that Raleigh Chopper must've felt left out amongst those BMX's! Even though it was a late edition black - "prismatic " example! These episodes (obviously) have a very mid 80's look about them now.

Another great episode. I'm back on them on ITV4 - now it's on without the early morning sign language Series 4 is better than I remember- despite watching many of these episodes, some more than others - this was better than I remember & don't think I've seen it for a few years. Chisholm was on fine form - "Oh dear,oh dear - the plot thickens".....π

Sad news - RIP Adam West. I really enjoyed the repeats of the original Batman a few years back on ITV4. I checked his details then & noticed he was into his 80's. As mentioned - a good innings, but very sad news. I thought a Batman or two might be shown in honour to him.

Sold my mum's smart car last night, advertised on auto trader and sold in 2 days. If I'd tried to trade it in, I'd still be stuck with it unless I was prepared to get mugged off. Yes,must say - trade in values are often an absolute p1ss take! My Dad left VW back in 2006 after nearly 40 years. The crappy servicing & warranty work was one thing, the absolute disgrace of a trade in value on a low mileage, top of the range car, with even more options & perfect condition was another! He walked out & got offered a grand more at another garage!......

Yes,I thought they were very early 80's - before they started singing Spurs Cup Final songs........π·
"ain't no pleasing you" remains easily their best track.
