Sad story. Abusive and loveless marriage, intended murder victim, estranged from her children. Always seemed broken emotionally but kept going. Probably nagging her missing husband in the next life as I type.

Seemed a very troubled and rather odd woman when interviewed earlier this year. She didn't seem that bothered that she hadn't seen or spoken to any of her three children for over 35 years.
RIP

Saw that interview and she did seem rather sanguine about the estrangement. You don't know how much of a front that was.

RIP Don't want to speak ill of the dead but she seemed a tad batty during that interview. Probably has a lot to do with all the years being married to the horrendous Lucan and that awful night in 1974 when he murdered the nanny and tried to bump her off.

She was in early stages of dementia as well. Lucan was a vile piece of work, helped by friends in high places. I hope she's in a better place now.

Seen the TV adaptation & interview,I felt so sorry for her - she had obviously been through a lot of cr*p. I’ve often wondered what actually happened to Lucan......

She had mental health problems. It is evident also that having a 'privileged' lifestyle doesn't make you happy.
R.I.P. Lady Lucan.
