Not a particularly good episode, especially by the general standard. A strong cast, too . Just scrapes a 3/5

I actually didn’t realised he had died virtually a year ago! I was reading about Sweeney on line & wiki earlier, and noted he passed away last September. I seen him, in St Ives - obviously holidaying some years ago, I’m guessing about 2006 or 2007, it was in the off season & I nearly ran him over, as he stepped off the pavement on one of the many narrow streets. Luckily I was driving slowly. I clocked him & mentioned it to my (ex) wife, she didn’t make much of it but I’m sure he registered that I’d clocked him! Di you remember me telling you the story - Barry The Book?

I can’t believe I haven’t voted & commented on this excellent episode before! Just been on ITV4 I give it 5/5. It makes a change for Arthur to be ripped off & Terry gets the cold shoulder from his attractive potential partner, a lesson learned for both of them. Great story, locations & cast. Hard to believe I was still in my later years at primary school when series 3 was originally being aired. Can remember it always being on in the background at both my house, and next door (Barry the book) can still remember the theme tune “piping out” through Barry the books parents back door, which would have been easily heard as we amused ourselves out in the back gardens, pushing out our time before being summoned to indoors!!😆

I was watching one of the Ray era episodes a while back, the only thing that was keeping me viewing was the very attractive Gina McKee being in it.....

On ITV4 today & for some reason, an episode I’ve not watched so much. 5/5 for me - a great (and varied) episode. I did a DVLA search on that number plate - but there was no record of its existence!?!......

Sad news, I was only randomly reading about & remembering certain Aberdeen players of that era & he was one.☹️ As is well known - they were a truly great and inspiring team of the era. Shutting up the Old Firm, Aberdeen & Dundee Utd were a breath of fresh air in the early/mid 80’s. I remember Neal Cooper being a great & tough player, alongside a very solid defence RIP Neale

He was an under rated radio presenter. He did Pick Of The Pops proud yearsago, I thought he was the best presenter since Fluff Freeman.

Re cycling with those stupid bags is a chore, especially after 2 weeks. It’s over flowing by then! Where as the wheelie bin could be emptied every 2 weeks & recycling weekly. I hate ironing & changing beds. The “other” is the biggest time waster known to man & one I rarely do - cleaning a car, what a complete waste of time! Dirty again in a day.....

Great episode, obviously watched many times - but was on ITV4 this afternoon, a comfortable 4/5 I’ve said it before & am glad they do, despite being cut, I'm more than happy to watch, or at least have Minder, Sweeney & The Pros on - even if they’re in the background!
They’ve been the core programmes of ITV4 for many years & long may it continue!
