BBC was expecting it judging by all the tribute programmes they have rolled out.

RIP - I liked his stories on The Two Ronnies myself.
One programme I never really watched was 'Sorry!'.

RIP - I liked his stories on The Two Ronnies myself. One programme I never really watched was 'Sorry!'. I used to love Sorry! I watched it against a few years ago and thought it held up pretty well. His guest role in 'Extras' was brilliant IMO. He must of been mid 70s and making on he was a coke head, brilliant. I appreciated his style more as I got older than I did when I was younger.

Sorry! always a favourite of mine when I was younger. Ronnie Corbett portrayed the quiet desperation of Timothy really well.

Quite possibly the smallest man I have ever seen. Mrs MIAS & I saw Ronnie shopping in Harrods in 1990. He looked very dapper in his blue pin-striped whistle.
Very sad to hear of his passing.
RIP Ronnie.

He was actually a very funny bloke. Yesterday I was listening to The Bee and they played quite a few soundbites from The Two Ronnies as a tribute. Made me realize he was a comical genius. RIP Ronnie C.

I liked the TV ad with him and Alice Cooper. They spent all day talking golf, which they both adore and actually became friends after filming finished. Nice.

Just read that Ronnie's widow has confirmed he was suffering from motor neurone disease for 18 months or so up to his sad passing.

Just read that Ronnie's widow has confirmed he was suffering from motor neurone disease for 18 months or so up to his sad passing. Sorry to hear that. Motor Neurones always strikes me as a particularly cruel way to die.

Just read that Ronnie's widow has confirmed he was suffering from motor neurone disease for 18 months or so up to his sad passing. I saw that. It also said he didn't really suffer from it either in the end which is something. A horrible disease. Saw the repeated showing of the programme with Piers Morgan last night, he had some career did Ronnie C. His scene in Little Britain was shown and though I was not a fan of the show, it showed that he was game for anything well into his life.

I remember a juvenile quiz show that he presented in the '90s on BBC1 as well as his impression of Stevie Wonder singing I Just Called back in the '80s.

Just read that Ronnie's widow has confirmed he was suffering from motor neurone disease for 18 months or so up to his sad passing. Ah, that explains a comment I heard on the TV yesterday. I only caught some of the conversation but I heard the words "Ronnie didn't want people to see him like that....."
Very sad news, he was a talented, funny man.
Agree with Daz, RC's appearance in 'Extras' was hilarious - especially when he insinuated that he always got his supply from Moira Stuart .
RIP.

I never found him as engaging as Ronnie Barker. That said, I couldn't help but like him, and he was good. And 'The Two Ronnies' was just that - it wouldn't have worked without both of them playing off each other (would it Ronnie....? ). RIP Ronnie Corbett.
