Sigourney harboured a fantasy about making a p0rn film, and Jodie bats for the other side. A draw from me.

Well, their output of films have been poor of late, so I did base my vote on other attributes.

Jodie. I have seen more of her movies and she's had a longer career since she started acting as a little kid.

First saw her in an episode of Kung Fu (David "was looking for Narnia in that wardrobe" Carradine)

Ripley Vs........ Err, wait, no that wouldn't be fair......... Clarice Starling? Like Callan she packs a mean .357 Magnum. Not the most powerful handgun in the world, but it will go through steel plate. Now just imagine what that could do to a human body...ahem..I digress.
Sigourney for me. Jodie Foster is a consumate actress, always gives a committed perfomance that often elevates hum-drum material (e.g. The Brave One) and has had a respectable career as a director. She's a star no doubt about it. I just find Sigourney Weaver a warmer presence on screen and always seems a bit more real, less actressy shall we say.

Yes I think Jodie edges it in the acting stakes.

Both excellent actresses. They can do light stuff as well as very gritty, dramatic fare.

Sigourney because of Ghostbusters and Doc Martin. I don't like the Alien films though. I might be in the minority, but I actually hated Silence of the Lambs. That part where Hopkins does the fava beans and liver slurp gives me the shudders to this day.
