Probably my fault FS, I was so upset about his death I may well have put 46 instead of 50. That's alright MIAS. Most of the reports I've heard said he was 66 so he was either born 1950 or 1951 depending on if he already had his birthday this year. He would have been 67 later this month according to wiki.

I voted Big Match (1974-80) and Snooker (Drag Racer). I also voted Other as there are 2 other themes I like which are the London Marathon music (the theme to the film 'The Trap') and the other Snooker theme used in the 80s which is To The Unknown Man-Vangelis.

I'm a failure as I use buses and I'm over 26. Is the Manual/Automatic question just for cars or for anything? I prefer Automatic scan for finding TV stations.

My favourite seasons are Spring and Autumn but I prefer Spring.
I don't like Summer as much as Spring and Autumn as I get Hay Fever and the TV is usually rubbish until the new programmes start in Autumn. I only like Winter for Christmas as it's too cold and it gets dark early.
I like Spring the most as I like the feeling of coming out of Winter and it being warmer and having more daylight.

Another bit of my childhood gone. 'The Generation Game' was the definitive 1970s TV game show. He had a wide and varied career over a long period of time.

I like lots of them but voted for David Burke and Edward Hardwicke who were Watson to Jeremy Brett's Holmes.

I like 'Can't Stop This Thing We've Started' but only because I got it as a pointless answer for 'Pointless'.

Oh dear, the witch hunt has begun - fair play to the guy look at how many hits he's had, they can't all be bad and there is no way on this earth you can put him in the same puke bin as Phil Collins.
I agree with ace5150 that he had a lot of slushy ballads and these I am not a fan of either, but I must say the gig I went to recently was probably the best gig I'd seen, he was absolutely superb and engaging in some banter with crowd too, even calling one of them a daft [cu next Tuesday] for putting up a sign requesting a song he'd already played. I much prefer him to Phil Collins.

I've never been a fan of his but I don't mind some of his early stuff. I agree with Daz and MIAS about his Robin Hood song. It wasn't just that I hated the song but it hung around like a bad smell for months.

One of our finest actors who always lit up the screen in everything he was in. He was great as Charles Augustus Milverton mentioned by billyfarmer above.

One of my favourite performances of his was as Ricki Tarr in the TV series 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy'.
