I know. He was great as Oscar and appeared in many other TV shows. I'll never forget his turn as a doctor in the Knight Rider pilot.

I've also got the second Kolchak TV movie, 'The Night Strangler', on DVD, in which he plays a 'Phantom of the Opera' type mad man. Haven't seen it in a while as it's a double sided U.S. DVD which I can't play on any of my machines at present.

The VERY first celebrity I met. Photo and anecdote to prove it. Hong Kong 1977-ish. Backstage of Lee Theatre. He did a talk on special effects in movies but no Q&A on his TV shows. Lots of film clips. To a 15 year old, it was great. Asked if I could get his autograph, and the security simply took me backstage to meet him. Very polite man, and very tall I remember. Genuinely gracious to a fan like me.
