Looks like she quit acting in the1980's, which was a sad loss to the profession. I know her best from The Saint episode The Desperate Diplomat, which is very good.
RIP

Really sad to hear of this. She was in loads of British film and TV in the 60s and 70s. I didn't realise she was married to Ian McShane from 1965-68.
She was in a few Hammer Films: The Scarlet Blade, The Devil-Ship Pirates, Rasputin The Mad Monk and Dracula, Prince of Darkness. It was always good to see her pretty face turn up in an ITC series because she was a good actress.
RIP Suzan

Yeah she was in loads of stuff. I've never really followed her as an actress but her face is instantly recognizable. Decent enough actress. Perfect in those Hammer roles she played.
RIP Suzan

Very sad news indeed.
Suzan Farmer, is one of my favourite Actresses, and I have got 30 of Suzan's film and TV appearances, on DVD.
I posted a very nice photograph of Suzan, on the Hammer films Thread - minder.proboards.com/thread/2515/hammer-films-1935-1979?page=2
Suzan, appeared in quite a few of my favourite Cult TV series, and also three of my favourite Hammer films - The Scarlet Blade (1963), The Devil-Ship Pirates (1964) and Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966).
R.I.P. Suzan Farmer.

Sad news indeed - it has to be said, a real stunner in her day and of course appearances galore in a lot of shows we love on here.
RIP Suzan

Very sad to hear her later years were troubled. She deserved better than that.

Very sad to hear her later years were troubled. She deserved better than that. I had no idea of that either. She deserved so more from life than years of depression and alcohol dependence. Looking at her IMDB credits, it seems as though she was in regular acting work until 1980 and then absolutely nothing. As though she went into hiding over night. She had 22 years of what looks pretty much non stop acting work prior to 1980.

This slipped by me until now. Sad that her career ended so early. Depression and alcoholism is a horrible combination. Rest In Peace.

A TV Times article about Fashion (featuring Suzan Farmer and Edward de Souza), from the March 7th - 13th 1970 issue of TV Times. I have never seen Wicked Women, the series, mentioned in the article, below.

RIP Suzan Farmer. I've got into Hammer movies recently, so clearly I've missed something if she made those movies works.
