RIP Doreen Keogh. I started to look into Coronation Street actually and I was impressed with how it's made. I'm taking a guess that she really made the show worth while because those sets look too good not to notice.

I don't know what to say about how the episodes were transmission. They really covered the transmissions well to say at least and they really covered that up. Nice episode. I was interested with those gates at the back of the lorry actually, how they extend out and get angled because gravity works with it. I've never seen anything like that.

I would agree with the cliff hanger ending, considering it was season 2, giving me a reminder about how far Minder has got into since the first season. Loved when Arthur was sworn in and said this, I swear by almighty god the evidence I give will be the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth stand on me. Class!! Really good episode. Really think series Two and three are the best. He said something else hadn't he? But I know what you mean... yeah, I thought that was funny also OMG, I wasn't even around then and now I also believe that would be the case of break of episodes.

I liked the episode, very adventurous and mysterious. A bit predictable half way but the episode did give a good show towards the end.

Stand on me westlndr - you'll love it. Hmm okay... I will. Try have to post more to reach and go above you on post count. I've noticed and thinking about the way they written out Terry out of Minder since it's common to write out characters who don't want to perform on long running shows. How Terry was fed up with Arthur, found someone and fed to Australia with that other woman (not spoiling who she really was) going after Arthur regarding Terry. They've made it out like Terry was not honourable because with the way Australia was founded and used for, if anyone's noticed. How that woman was going after Arthur on behalf of Terry. The show portrayed Terry as a coward. Maybe it was just a way to hit or hint out to Australia until they started filming a few Minder episodes there. I think it's interesting.

I with very bothered with how it ended... even when I wasn't aware of Minder back in 1994 (I was seven years old back then). Looking into it, the thought that Minder has been running for 10 seasons and just see it end the way it did, bored me out and puzzled me. I think it set the stage for George Cole and Gary Webster later roles to continue their career. George Cole's was predictable, knowing that he's got taken care of in something like Mary Reilly being take care of by John Milkovich's character who runs a medical house, where he hires Cole's character who is the house lord: minder.proboards.com/thread/3279/george-cole-mary-reilly-1996Gary Webster's character scared me a lot with his demise and what would happen then, where he later performed the TV movie The Big Game, as a character who struggles with money issues and wants more in life, where some of the incidents in this episode of Minder, get described in this film : minder.proboards.com/thread/291/gary-webster-big-game-1995I wouldn't say follow up to Minder, I would say if any of the fans were to typecast Gary Webster's and George Cole's characters demise, they find out what happened to the typecast in the following role they playes. The DVDs also, I would admit, weren't easy to get. but I got them because I think it's a tough thing on television to end a long running series and put a demise (what was in this episode) on the two most interesting characters at the time with the way they did it. Must have been tough. I know they would have been type-casted by the media or someone. The media had it tough also, so I would see why they keep talking about Minder from time to time.

It's a nice episode in my opinion. Feels very 70's to me with the setting of the abandoned house and the story within it. Like The Warriors movie gone domestic. They really made good use of it.

I liked this episode. Alot of confrontations. Really had it's moments as mentioned in the previous posts. I thought the confrontation trying to get the money back was very interesting. I have noticed the quality is a bit off as well unlike the other episodes.

A nice episode. Starts of very slow but really builds up towards the end. It really amazed me how George Cole was running with the rugby ball on the field.

I thought the episode was nicely put together. Another episode in series 2 with good production value. The characters between them were good. It does make Terry's character worth while. The boxer was really tough and look like he needed some help to understand why he boxes.

Grandma was a surprising appearance and role made for the show. I was like 'damn, she looks too old to appear on television'. Molly Veness must have been well in her 80s when that episode was filmed. That explains a lot for Terry's character.

This episode really has me jumping up and down just because Josie Lawrence was in it. Apparently when she first appeared on Whose Line Is It Anyways, she was popular enough to have her own television show. It was a comedy show in 1991 named after herself 'Josie'.
It's worth noting however, Josie only had six episodes and like this reboot of Minder, it never had good ratings for her show to be renewed for a second season. A bit eerie putting it that way but I think the producers must have known about it and was hoping that it would have helped her because she has been doing comedy for years and give that type of attention. She did appear in other shows and even films. Her show Josie hasn't got a DVD release, maybe for obvious reasons. I think the show really has Channel 4 type humour. That hard zany feel to it.
After further thought on this episode, I would really think they've cast her with the idea, just in case this season was successful to be spawned for a second season as Delilah Daley was Archie Daley's wife anyways and played a big role maybe in seasons to come but I think it's clear the story really made it out to be like their last anyways with the ending.

Feels like a nice treat for Waterman's character, for him to be taken everywhere around the UK. A nice start for the new series considering that Minder was still new and not known for at the time.

Those still are amazing. Nicely captures the moments during the filming. Lovely models also of the trains.
Edit: I don't know what the fuss is about but then I noticed the movie Murder On The Orient Express and I went out of my way to purchase the DVD. Well I got the Minder specials, and I don't think they were easy getting them, so that should help me watch the rest. I would see why it's such a massive deal! Well I suppose I've seen too much now.

I'm was really amazed Josie Lawrence was in episode. It's a big deal. She was always on British television with Whose Line Is It Anyway with the other improvised comedian. Some of them were a massive deal at the time like Ryan Stiles (Hotshots 2).
The point of Whose Line is it Anyways was for the 'contestants' to impress the host with scenes asked for and the host would give them points based on their performances. Josie Lawrence was known for being one of the rare contestants because she was well... umm female, so some of the things they made her show was well... for show for obvious reasons making her one of the well known contestants on the show. I mean they were all in to make the show work and worth watching. It was meant to rake in views and it's clear why she went on the show for.
Having said that, I think it was meant to be a HUGE DEAL that she played Delilah Daley, Archie's wife who's pushing forward for the divorce and I've never seen her go that her in that 'light'. I mean it was a big deal to me. She was firey hot in this episode. Extremely firey and really cunning. Clearly made to have people talk about Minder with her being in it.

By this time, I adapted to season 11 being the Minder it wanted to be. I was a bit bothered about the guy that was chasing and sucking punching Jamie and I kind of knew it was going to be over because of how ridiculous Jamie kept getting on the other end of the punch and how it ended being the silly guy just sucking punching people and being outed.
I do agree with the Vlad character. The character and scenes felt extremely out of place. I think he was used to prepare the audience for the ending because it gets rather sightful towards the end but still, it was tough to wash off. If I saw the scenes again, I would say to myself 'why was that scene in there again?!'
It's just another contrast of Minder Season 11 having a more horror/dark perspective to it in this episode but at least the story holds up in my opinion.

I thought it was a nice re-hash put together for a typical art heist episode. Worth watching. Does have some classic Minder elements like that silly police chase which are usually found in the past Minder shows.

I found it interesting that Arthur was there to help the card player. A saleman as mature as the character, would he have taken his car in real life because he really needed the money knowing what he was going to do with it while putting his minder to look out for him? Makes me wonder. I would say it's a great episode because it gave loads of chances to represent the car because it was a sports car. I've never seen anything in film like that.
