I was watching this again. I thought it was funny and interesting how Terry started the episode "I don't know what I'm doing here!?". Never thought the first series was a success, so maybe it help explained how Dennis Waterman really felt about starting another series.

I remember it well. It was shown live on television. The Home Internationals were among the limited amount of football that were shown live in those days and the cameras lingered on the Scottish fans as they wrecked the place after the final whistle. Yeah, I thought it really caught on quickly back then as it happened, it may have inspired the story line in this episode. I've read about it on a book about Old Wembley about what had happened also. Must have costed the stadium to get the pitch repaired and the post replaced. I remember it well. It was shown live on television. The Home Internationals were among the limited amount of football that were shown live in those days and the cameras lingered on the Scottish fans as they wrecked the place after the final whistle. That picture would bring a tear to a glass eye, happy days. My ex Brother in Law is in the photo, the guy to the left of the photo, just in focus, wearing the bunnet and scarf.
It's just a pity Arthur and Terry never made it to North of the Border though in the episode.
Really? Wow, I suppose he really helpped make history there. Yeah I thought it was a let down that Arthur and Terry never made it to the border also but it was good to see them out onto the road at some service station somewhere for the story to continue. Those motorways and service stations back then looked really street and diesel inspired back then.

I was lost with the ending also with Peter, the scenes that works well together like the paint and carpet cleaning which I thought did tie in well together felt like a distraction to cover the ending.

A nice contempory style episode of Minder. My new favourite episode because it features Old Wembley Stadium. I clicked on the idea in the storyline that how fans had to purchase tickets via mail order because of Scotland. This was because in 1977, Scotland invaded the pitch at Old Wembley and snapped the crossbars and ruined the turf after the 2-1 win against England. So Scotland has been tagged ever since for their style of celebration ever since but the idea they had to sell ticket via mail order, I don't know if that is true but it does fuse a good premise to make the story work in this episode and include a bit of history of Old Wembley. Here's the photo I got from the daily mail showing the situation at Old Wembley showing that this happened. I'm sure many here knew this. Source: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3927302/Recalling-iconic-moment-Scotland-fans-stormed-Wembley-pitch-snapped-crossbar-stunning-England-1977.htmlHe was a good actor for the part. Tragic he died so young. Yeah! What a shame!

I remember asking myself where he went after I grew up and out of ChuckleVision... I see he was in Benidorm with his brother, a series I really want to watch also. I shouldn't be surprised if ChuckleVision lasted until 2009. It is a great show and always will be. RIP Barry Elliot.

I had a tough time watching this. Wondering what was going on and hard to get the idea that it's almost like in real life or maybe it felt like I got too close and personal. Maybe Minder taking a rest from their original screen-writing. It could have been a lot better to be honest with what they had.

I've read what they are saying about him as mentioned. It is nice to know that he died naturally. I really believe that everyone who had the luck to meet Dale really liked him. None of my mates in the quizzing community met him. Yeah, I would think he was a really great television personality during the broadcast. Something different for the television among the actors, actresses and athletes. I nice change from the television screens and companies.

Takes a while for the episode to pick up, no problem with that but I had to give it a few re-watches to fully understand what was going on. Still was a good episode. Got silly towards the end, I liked it.

I thought the show was well written right towards the end when Terry helps Shams get out of the country and the results for it. It was very good. That's interesting, I wonder why they changed it? ... right up to Brick Lane in East London? I thought that would made it more better in Brick Hall. Southall is too bold for the camera, even back then.

A nice start if this was season 5. Having to go on a boat ride only to find that it wasn't all legit and Arnie tagging along with Terry. It was all good.

The Young Ones was a great show in the early 80s however. The late 80s, I'm not sure what had happened.

Predictable at the end, knowing that the fashion line were going to be recovered. I'm surprised that it occured so quickly. It was funny seeing Arthur enter that night and thought the mannequin was someone and the fight at the Irish bar was entertaining also.

I wasn't around then but I really love looking at the 80s archive of television. I prefer ITV because they had Thames TV production. I view the stuff on YouTube sometimes, it's really good. Channel 4 just started up then, so I can't say much about that. The BBC looked so rugged then to be honest.

I went to watch all the Tobey Maguire lead Spider-man films last decade at the cinemas, before they rebooted the Hollywood films. I'm a fan of Spider-man, I liked how they went to make another character to be Spider-man, Miles Morales. I think it's an amazing design for a character. RIP co-creator of Spider-man, Steve Ditko.

I thought this episode was great... everything from the title to where it was set and what it was about. "Get Daley" and he's in a hospital. The hospital itself, I was a patient there a few times, Central Middlesex, before it was knocked down and re-developed. The scene with the nurses, who check to see if patients are safe and kicks the other visitors who are patiences, I don't know if this is with this hospital or with all the hospital. ... but apparently this does happen and maybe it still does at the location. I was at A&E at that hospital (not building since it was knocked down). One of the nurses who were gathering data on patients are A&E was taken advantaged off sometimes, as some of the patients had other visitors when them who weren't patients and maybe got i the way. One time, a female patient bought her boyfriend along but the boyfriend got shouted down and refused into the office by a other nurse. "PATIENTS ONLY!!!" she shouted at him and bounced him. That nurse wasn't as elegant (and attractive) as the one seen in the episode. She was rather perky, smokes, not the kind of person you would want to look at. Not the kind of person you want bouncing you in front of all the other patients. I wonder if that was inspired by the area itself or it's very very common. I've been to other hospital in other around and I've seen visitors refused entry but not like that scene. Only at the same exact location where this episode was filmed. Maybe adds to the authentically to the episode because it feels like it. The field near the Woodworm Scrubs felt real also, because the field there looks like alot of fights take place at the time.
