Arthur demonstrating that answering machine, I remember my first landline answering machine mid eighties, I thought it was the dogs. Personally, I thought it would be a running gag for the episode. The answering machine but I see they made it a serious prop.

Surely he must have done something right, but to get all this kids and none of them coming out as a banker or a lawyer or one of those professions to have the other siblings. He really was a hustler making money from his kids. I remember he even encouraged his kids to use Michael as an ATM. That's not right! My generation used to laugh at Michael for his mess up and sometimes I think Joe never prepared him for that.
I don't think Joe isn't going to get any decent rest.

RIP Leslie Grantham. He was the presenter of Fort Boyard. Like the Crystal Maze but set on an actual real life island with physical challenges. That French gameshow that tries to put the Crystal Maze to shame or maybe add more to what gameshows could do for television. I thought it was Spanish but I see it is French.

I'm a bit surprised that it's all she ever known for... she hasn't been in film since, considering that it was the first Bond movie until Bond's success skyrocketed with later movies and novels.

RIP Philip
I haven't seen any of his films but I have a friend who might, because he loves anything with Shaolin in there. I also noticed that he was in a movie titled Fist of Fury II starring Bruce Li (yep, not Lee). I think he deserves to get condolences because I'm glad there's someone else who makes Kung Fu films to cater to China since it's a huge country unlike the other popular kung fu stars and directors we know here in Europe. You never know what you'll find in a massively populated country like China. That's what I like about there.

RIP Clint Walker... apparently his final film Small Solider as Nick Nitro he did the voice on, which was talked about alot at the time of its release and he was in the 1956 film The Ten Commandments which I barely remember watching. My R.E. teacher forced us to watch that during class at one point if it was that good.

Same, always nice to watch this episode, I keep getting into first few minutes, the Italian wedding, how Terry replaces the coin-boy because he's on his honeymoon etc. Very casual. I agree westidner...minder gold. Minder gold! yeah! Gold indeed!

Eddys music didn't appear in the BB film, I was comparing Chicago Blues music to Texas Blues. Steve Cropper is the most recognisable player of Chicago Blues music, who is in the film. oh ok... yeah he must have shared something.

A real shock. When I saw Dean Francis's name on this forum, I thought "not the boxer?" Very sad. RIP Champ Yeah, what I really dislike about boxing, so young. Had alot of injuries which took him out of his career. It went almost un-noticed.

I thought the episode was very bold... Terry taking on a security role, meets a model from Liverpool who gets forced to do a dodgy photoshoot and the fake priest at the hotel room to the punch up at the end. I thought Arthur's almost ruined moment being saved at the end was greatly entertaining.

Top episode, I have to say - I always thought this episode was where the series started to get more 80s rather than 70s style (I don't know why) but moves back to its origins where Terry actually gets in the ring again - top episode! I would have to ask, would you ever think that because Minder was an popular show when it airred that the production team were experimenting with the production quality of the filming. I can't find anything like this quality of the 80s filmed before Minder and that also includes in America also. It's almost like someone taken all the tips of filming from Minder. I'm trying so hard to find a show before Season 4 that's filmed and presented in the same way. Edit: I'll just have to add... I would think because at the time, they may have had a culture of sharp quality photos in magazines which were sometimes glossy and the photos were more focused on the objects, so the producers may have been in the mood to make the show in an 80s look when they had the chance. I went out to find some photos from the early 80s which may show that it may be the case: This was taken during 1981... well I hope so... doesn't look like an outdoor photo at the time... This photo was taken in 1982 or I hope so, I did a random search into google to find this... the photo is focused on the car. The car itself, the Austin Allergo was produced from 1973 to 1982... A living room, taken in 1981... well I hope so... I remember some houses were like this during the 1980s... the photo captures the busy patterns. I would say the sets in Minder weren't that busy on screen unless they have too. I'm aware the claim is out there but I think Minder was a show that was extremely popular and the producers wanted to put something new to the viewer production wise in terms of quality because the means was there for them to change how the filming worked for the show and maybe to set the bar of what video quality should be.
