RIP Richard Roundtree
I have seen him in the 2008 Speed Racer, a live action film based off the a late 1960s cartoon of the same name. He was the race commentator, I thought he was great, I never knew it was him. They gave him a good role in the film. He appears in that, I don't know, maybe he was a fan of the cartoon and had that chance to appear in the film.
It's nice to know he returned in the last Shaft film to help the character's grand-son. I don't know why I had watched it, it was on Netflix and I was keen being on Netflix so I had watched it because it was there before I cancelled my subscription, so I ended up getting to see him in that. I didn't expect much, he was obviously really aged so I didn't expect much action from him and more from Sam Jackson to watch the film.
There's the obvious three original Shaft films that he was well known in and just had to watch, so really, RIP. Great films to be really lost in.

RIP Mark Goddard. He was in the original Lost in Space. That's a classic, seeing how make remakes and a movie, it had spawned. They wouldn't have done that without him!

RIP Paul Reubens, he had created one of the most iconic and niches' characters in modern history and I won't be surprised if the characters gets revisited many times in the near future and he's to thank for portraying that character.

RIP, when it comes to news reporting, he was just as formidable as the next presenter and his contributions to the services are extremely noticeable. He really died extremely young, he really set out to live until he was 80.

Offensives aside, I'm not exactly sure what he's done. Seeing how the press are, gunning for whatever they could to get anyone to read the papers. He's the inventor of the "wobble-board" and it was good enough to appear for Children's television. Seems a bit cheap to me but then he is an artist, so I don't know! I would agree that I'm lost with why his achievements pre-2014 mean. Did it inspire anyone to craft items to get onto television. Maybe I've missed something.

He spawned the Steve Wilkos Show! Steve Wilkos being the security of Jerry's show! The producer of Jerry's show was Steve Wilkos' wife, if I would remember but yeah, Jerry gone and retired. he still did a show even after his retirement age, too. Just shows how popular and strong he was allowing some of the interesting characters in America.
I also liked how his show was parodied in media like Austin Powers 2. It was that influential.
RIP Jerry. You've really put one of the greatest shows in the world!

American Rally driver Ken Block has died in a snowmobile accident. He is known as a Rally icon, I'm sure many have seen or heard of him, from time to time. Very shocking in my opinion, I never thought I'll see the day so soon. www.BBC.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-64150191

RIP Ruth Madoc. I hadn't known her in Hi-De-Hi but I see she was in Little Britain in minor roles and other popular later shows over the years. Surprised if someone like that was still active if they were popular during the 1980s.

And Star Trek II. It's turning out to be one of those years, isn't it...? Yeah, I've read she didn't want to return in the following films because the pay was low. Don't blame her I suppose, it really made that movie, worth while, considering it was one of the first film to use CGI effects. I forgot how young she was when she did Star Trek II. Rest In Peace. Yeah, it was worth it, seeing how that panned out. Not very old at all. Distinctive actress. Well known. I recall her speaking up quite recently about how Hollywood is full of ****s. RIP Kirstie. Yeah, I've read how many wanted to know what she thought about Hollywood and LA, if not California. Her opinion, really was worth a lot.

Such a good person, helping a generation of kids get into learning and sporting being on screen with those puppets. So much hard man and mafia culture back then for him to take the time to make that show work for the children of yesterday. RIP

RIP Robbie. I was just watching the film Mona Lisa the other day. He took a good movie in that film.
I'm a bit surprised he went at aged 73. A stocky guy like him doesn't live until that age. Just shows he really was the tough able to handle himself guy that you see in the camera, that offers good advice to the lead characters.

RIP McVicar. Like many here, I just know him from the movie and he has a very very rough backstory. More surprised to learnt that he was the same in the 1990s, going to prison. I'm pretty sure he stayed out of prison after being paroled in 1978. He lost a civil action to Linford Christie in the 1990s but the penalty would have been financial in that case. His son went to jail in 1998 and again subsequently - maybe that's who you're thinking of Westie? Yeah, I was mistaken. John McVicar life after prison was well spent, appearing in the papers, outing people. He was a great figure.

I think it's worth pointing out that Dennis Waterman has had a successful career. How successful and what impact it has made, we don't know, considering that his last big TV role was in New Tricks, so yeah. Not just Minder. Maybe not obvious considering here is a board just dedicated to Minder. Then I wonder if there's a New Tricks fanbase out there, who seems to care! Makes me wonder! I feel kind of bad if it's just us, giving our coincidences and farewells to the featured actor.
