RIP Fred. I was reading about the Dambuster Raids. I thought it was really unreal with what happened, with the bouncing bombs. Never knew he was still alive.

RIP. He played a classic character in Keeping up Appearances in my opinion, just that 80s looking bloke being calm and putting up with the wife in the show. Very formidable as I remember watching this. Really a shame knowing he's gone now.

And in the same scene, what exactly is the arcade game there behind Chisholm? Top something? . I've taken the time to look for it. I'm usually good at looking for stuff like this but... it may just be a decoration for the scene unless it's an actual game that I really don't know off. I wouldn't think the show would be careless to advertise a game logo on the screen. Usually because arcade cabinets themselves were the main attraction and the ingame graphics themselves sell what people are getting when they pay to play. My best guess, the production team placed the sticker there for the scene, or maybe the owners of the machine placed the sticker there to attract attention. It may not actually be the game logo, maybe just a quirky way of just decorating the arcade machine for show. if it is a game, I would like to know.

RIP Bernard Lloyd. Says he was in the 1999 Christmas movie A Christmas Carol as a ghost also. Interesting. That was a good version of the movie in my opinion.

Worth the special of Series 6 I think. Minder of the Orient Express as a way to take away from London is a nice escape of the year.

Oh another scene with a weapon. Minder did this alot. I could see what the speculation is about if this was meant to be the last episode of Minder. They thrown in what the first episode. I thought the entire episode does strike the balance of how serious Terry and Arthur could get while keeping the humour in there.

I can't help but notice the gun. Rarely much guns in the entire run of Minder considering the first episode featured a shotgun. For the time, I personally wanted to know how guns were seen around London. That looks like a very flash revolver. That chrome look that it has. The manufacturer must really wanted to sell guns onto the market and all the times I've seen guns from the years, they are mostly have a very bland material texture or a very wooden feed for that handle which makes it feel a bit country. The pistols from the 80s to mid 90s onward had more of a Matt Black finish to them. I'm still watching the episode since I'm watching it from the DVD at the moment as I make this post but I really wanted to jump on here to explain how I see that gun and how it fits in the world of Minder at that time. Of course, the scene, how it employs the dark humour in there for the rest of the scene from the start of this episode.

The episode isn't that bad. Feels like taking the time to explain the Russians side while once in a while, throws in the usual Minder humour here and there.

I like how it strays away from the typical "You got to help me tonight Terry" "No Arthur, I have a date". Really moved away from that at this point I think and how they make the airplane a running gag for the episode. They really wanted to capture the moments the plane were trying to land for those scenes. It was good.

I'm getting into series' 7 production quality. Really late 80s. the episode is funny, the bars being trashed and club being decorated at the end. It was too great. Jones at the supermarket was just too funny. Yes, this was a great episode.

The episode had a slow start in my opinion, I mean the first 30 minutes but I think that was simply getting all the characters out of the way considering Chisholm isn't in this. The final 20 minutes were great and really picks up and how the fire towards the episode got started made me laugh.

I love it when Chisholm says about the bandaged Harry: "I know him..it's those minces!". Yeah I somewhat jumped when that happened but did laugh because it was a common police tactic to put suspect under pressure but a bit insensitive because Harry was in an nasty accident. Yeah I thought that was great trying to wonder where the line between if that was professional or taking it too far. I thought that was great also. I like it when they were trying to spy towards the end and the truck they were hiding behind drove away. Was a pleasant way to end the episode in my opinion and Terry and Arthur were greeting them.

Had me there wondering how Arthur would return to real life if there were going to be more episodes considering this was more then half way into the series with Arthur faking his own death and the entire world believing it.

I thought the episode was good. right straight into the episode in true Minder fashion. Didn't have to wait for anything. Terry reacting to Arthur's plan right from the beginning. Get that all the way then the episode gets serious.

I thought this episode was great. Another chance for Dennis Waterman to be his character with the actress who he dates in the episode. I like how Arthur handles the phones but it unaware why the police are going after him until he finds out why. Really got to sympathise for Arthur.

I also thought the dialogue was great. It was a great build up during the episode, like the ex-cons being employed and the police trying to suggest it was bad news towards the end where Terry prevents trouble. A bit predictable in some spots but it worth it as it was the start of the season anyways.

RIP Stan Lee. One of the most well respected comic character designers where many companies are fighting over to make his creations big on the movie or television screen to bring them to life. The news still comes as a shock that he's gone because he looked alive in many of the appearances he was in.

RIP Raymond Chow. He really kicked off Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan's career if he found a way to get them into film. I've heard Jackie Chan was troubled before he went into cinema, so I would think Raymond Chow did something to kick start his career.
