RIP, the biggest RIP to Kirk Douglas, I think we all have to remember, this was the bloke who played as one of the character in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral which was used to inspire the first episode of Minder, Gunfight at the OK Laundrette, where I've tried to explain how Minder tried to take cues from the movie itself, starring Kirk Douglas: minder.proboards.com/thread/3840/minders-episode-title-references-series\So I feel that he should always be honoured here because of that. Then maybe he watched Minder and tried to get away from all of that with all the other films he had went to star in over the decades. RIP to Kirk.

Are Idling Poodlers the one's who hog the middle lane? Yes! They are a dangerous menace and police should pull them. I never noticed how bad and dangerous they were until I started doing more long journeys. I know this DM is about motorways and this doesn’t happen on motorways but I tell you the other type of drivers that get right on my wick... those that travel at 38mph. . . everywhere. In a national speed limit of 60mph = they do 38. They then drive into a 30mph = they still do 38. It doesn’t matter how good the driving conditions are. They are just oblivious. If I drove like this in a driving test I would fail and be deemed unfit to be on the road. So why are these idiots not being pulled? Oh, okay, yeah them, very horrible drivers. Driving around town with my father and then hitting the motorway for the not-for-rookie drivers and then I get those drivers in the middle lane, like the world is around them. Nice to see them getting reported like this article here and a few more: www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/mercedes-driver-fined-middle-lane-17502759"Joins the motorway and joins the middle lane!", wow and driver denies it. I'm seeing more of that.

Why would you say that? My time in retail, it was almost the easily Christmas I've ever had. I would agree with PR1. I too worked in retail and hated the 'festive season'. Most bosses and customers made life intolerable, making it very difficult to get into the spirit of things. Most people I worked with felt the same. Oh, that "part" of the time during the year. Yeah, the festive season, getting everything ready and dealing with the customers. Yeah, it was a bit weird for me myself. I remember because it was winter and the amount of customers running into the store, just to get away from the cold and hog the heating and it would put me off not buying anything and trying to be sympathy with it, very tough. I would get the clown shoes or silly looking cow shoes, because I used to work in a shoe store and try to push a sale on them to make them feel like they were their to buy something. Yes, adds to the hard work already built during the Christmas. Shoes like these but with a button with a speaker in them which would make cow noises. I would go up to them and say "would you be interested in purchasing these shoes, they have one unique feature" *Pushes button* Cow Slippers: "MOOOOOO" Potential Customer:

I selected my top 10 but I selected other, so I'll explain, it's how folk I know use the Christmas as a distraction to get away from a situation. The Iron Curtain tactic. I mean I understand the Berlin Wall was around then and it's been knocked down but just because the Berlin Wall is down doesn't mean I can't use the term Iron Curtain towards the folks who don't want to be around me or want me to know that I'm being taken advantage off, so they try to get me down to hand them freebies or what not and use the season to think that I should be giving more then excess, then I need to. The next thing I know, they're behind the Iron Curtain. Even as I explain it, like politics which ruins folks Christmas, makes me a target like I'm ruining it. Christmas is every year, so I really prep up a lot, just to get people away and I stay away from a lot of people because of this. Just hi and bye and that's it. I’m glad you chose other and then explained your choice, I’d have been completely lost if you hadn’t. 1) Wait, what’s an Iron Curtain tactic? 2) Who’s taking advantage of you Westy? Show me on the Santa puppet where the bad people touched you. 3) Have you been on the mulled mushrooms again? If you think people are taking advantage you need to play Death Match 109 Giver Vs Taker. 1) Folks who have the Iron Curtain mentally. I have a lot of them here in London. I mean my condolences on the folks who were in the Eastern bloc and how it affected them when the wall was up in Berlin and maybe it was a big deal how it was knocked down but then people don't want to talk about how that's affected them. Missed opportunity there. I mean if people want to discuss who place to host a Christmas dinner over whos, then they should talk about it, but some don't, from what goes in my part of the country. 2) Folks in London. A city with a population of millions, Among those millions are people don't feel like they have the time to explain how they feel, considering some of them were from the Eastern bloc, I get it but I prefer if they don't resort to that and maybe they should figure it out themselves. *Points to puppet Santa's forehead* The mind, the mind is where they've touched me. They're using telekinesis. Use the energy of the Christmas and the happiness that no one wants to destroy as a temp wall over the old Berlin Wall. Just shows how people who really miss that wall. 3) ... I'll take a look at the Giver and Taker thread.

RIP. The Harry Enfield skits are fresh in my mind. Stephen Moore was extremely natural in skits in that show to represent a caring father who was never meant to be laugh at, as it was a comedy. It was very well done.

Bill Nighy only appearance in Minder. He's well known in movies nowadays. Another actor who appeared in Minder before his career had really taken off as he plays a lot of hip characters in uniform or authority. He plays the Chief Inspector in Hot Fuzz for example, I thought this scene was funny. I thought I recognised him as they placed him in the thumbnail: Someone else has taken the snapshot. The website domain watermarked on this image has disappeared, now leads to a hosts who used to run the website: Someone must have really been a fan and went to watch Minder to see him there.

I'm just reading about him, Mugabe is really something. I studied with a Zimbabwean person one time and I always wanted to know what was driving him mad, I think I have my answer and I really hope for the best for my old friend now to recover quickly. haha, that's a good one.

Really shocking. Magenta Devine was a good personality. I remember loads of people used to say "Take off those glasses > ". A personality to be missed. Had my staring at the screen wondering how anyone could present like that with the shades on. It was very interesting. RIP Magenta Devine
