The Hollywood legend has passed away at the age of 103. I watched Spartacus again the other day and was thinking he was at least 100 years old. Beside appearing in dozens of films he was the father of actor-producer Michael Douglas. Rest In Peace.

Sad news - what a legend, 103 years old is fantastic.
Enjoyed his work,
RIP.

Fair play, a phenomenal innings there. He's off course been in a stack of stuff but one of my faves is 'To Catch A Spy' (aka Catch Me A Spy) which also has Patrick Mower and Garfield Morgan in it.
RIP Kirk.

A proper acting legend and as hard as nails.
Stuck up for actors and producers who were blacklisted during the witch hunt of suspected communists, which possibly cost him a little bit career wise, not that I think it would have bothered him.
A great innings though.
RIP Kirk

He was great, a definite Hollywood icon, who has given me much enjoyment over the years. Particularly in the movie The Vikings, which I watch at least once a year.
R.I.P Kirk.
This one’s for you...

Of course, Spartacus will always head his list of films, but I liked Final Countdown and Holocaust 2000. Paths of Glory is excellent as well Must mention Tough Guys as well with him and Burt Lancaster. This scene is fantastic!

I was just thinking I should dig out my copies of Paths of Glory and Seven Days In May and watch them again.

RIP, the biggest RIP to Kirk Douglas, I think we all have to remember, this was the bloke who played as one of the character in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral which was used to inspire the first episode of Minder, Gunfight at the OK Laundrette, where I've tried to explain how Minder tried to take cues from the movie itself, starring Kirk Douglas: minder.proboards.com/thread/3840/minders-episode-title-references-series\So I feel that he should always be honoured here because of that. Then maybe he watched Minder and tried to get away from all of that with all the other films he had went to star in over the decades. RIP to Kirk.

Oh dear, some nasty accusations doing the rounds involving Natalie Wood! "Well known for years....." First I've heard of it, but seems to be gathering pace.

This type of thing the internet is terrible for. ...and it's all unproven as far as I can see, innocent till proven guilty and all that. Thus, best not further any rumours here.
