It appears Ray Lovelock has passed away. Although born in Italy his father was a British allied soldier who married an Italian. Hence his English sounding name. A very popular actor in the 1970s, he starred in many Italian crime thrillers and horror movies, and almost broke into Hollywood with roles in movies like Fiddler on the Roof and The Cassandra Crossing.
Titles of note include:
Queens of Evil. The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue. Almost Human. Autopsy. Violent City. Bandits In Milan. Live Like A Cop, Die Like A Man.
etc etc..
Apparently he also was a huge football fan and did a lot with organising charity matches.
You starred in so many enjoyable films, RIP Ray.

RIP Ray Lovelock. I never seen any of his films but I think breaking into the Italian movie genre is a big deal. Italians don't like simplicity. I'll keep a good eye for his films one day.

The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue. I remember him in that - good, if rather eccentric zombie film, partially filmed in the north of England with a mostly Italian cast. I think he also appeared in, or at least did one of the voices for, Mia and Me a mixed live action/animated series much loved by my niece. Thanks for entertaining two generations of the LTD family Ray.

That film has passed me by. It sounds bizarre, but strangely better than some of the mainstream horror films (e.g. Lee/Cushing) of the period.
