Perhaps the more appropriate question this week (which has come out of this) might have been whether or not Andrew Sachs has been cashing in on Manuel for far too long? Let's have it right, he's certainly dining out on Russell Brand sorting his grand daughter out for today's generation who don't know or care about Manuel.

Apologies, its a GREAT thread, just that this particular 'death match' was a poor one. Even the ones I don't vote on were worth debating over.

Graphics......Professionals. Music.........Sweeney
I had the music to The Sweeney as my ringtone for a few years as well before finally settling on London Calling.

Addams all day long. Fantastic cast. Did you know Lurch (Ted Cassidy) played TWO parts? Thing (the hand) was Cassidy. Best kick in the balls on film? Butch Cassidy (Rules? In a knife fight?) Gives to his namesake, Ted Cassidy.

OTT p&p grinds my gears. I paid £3 for a recorded delivery item, only for it to turn up with a first class stamp. I waited a week and asked where the item was, KNOWING no trackback details had been given. I then contacted the resolution centre detailing the fact recorded delivery had been paid for. Cut a long story short, I got a full refund. Snide and underhand, I agree, but my conscience was somewhat clear considering he stiffed me for an extra £2.40. Majority are decent, as I am sending items, but I like to think he learned his lesson.

Been there myself. Was left negative by someone who returned an item to me. She had to pay return, as per eBay rules, and took offence at it. EBay intervened but it was down to her to withdraw it. She didn't. Comes off after a year, but still annoying.

I sell a lot of signed glamour model pics on eBay, but not on Amazon. Hmmmm, tricky one. I have made a good few quid off mug punters on eBay, so I won't knock it, I have also sourced some uber rare punk stuff from eBay as well. EBay DOES offer protection for scam artists as well. Overall, it's EBay for me, BUT I do use Amazon a lot. I used to use Play.com a lot, not been there in 18+ months

Nik is a well know wig wearer as well. Couple of catchy tunes and turned in a decent performance at Live Aid, but not for me.

To be honest, I always thought Les Dawson was a far better host on the show. The less said about Lily Savage, the better!

I recall some card calling up Children in Need one year offering a donation for Terry to take his 'Irish jig' off live on air. Terry declined. I respected him a lot for that, but to be honest, I only watched it as Joanna Lumley was appearing wearing stockings.

Well, poor Brucie is ill, and can't do Strictly at Christmas! Bald, can't dance and has been around since year dot, so how long will those last legs last? (The tasty wife, I'd offer to look after) Will Brucie make it past Christmas? Will he kick the bucket just before Christmas Day and ruin Christmas with cr*p clips and false gushing celebrity tributes or does he have a few more years in him yet? Terry beat him to it. Shame, a genial and easy going presenter

And now ex Rainbow / Dio bassist Jimmy Bain has ascended to the Big Stage. At this rate all there'll be left will be Keith Richards, Macca and Brian May's hair (which seems to have a life all of its own). ultimateclassicrock.com/jimmy-bain-dies-rockers-react/ Early rumours are that he was killed by a black bear in the wilds of Utah. Which - if true - would at least be a very "rock & roll" way to go. But that may turn out to be ballcocks, time will tell I suppose.

I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, and I feel for his friends, fans and family, but I can't stand The Eagles. I just can't stand them. Joe Walsh is good though, and I did like Don Henleys Boys of Summer as a solo hit in 84 or 85. Apart from that, I just think any American MOR AOR music makes me want to turn the radio off. I cannot abide it.

It's a fair one, I expect many are looking to cash in on his passing, let's be honest, the value rockets on a demise and his lawyers foot soldiers will be scouring the online auction sites to ensure no one takes liberties. I will hit it again Friday night for a one day auction.

EBay cancelled the listing as it violates copyright! Pretty sure some jealous sellers tipped them off. I will redo it with a one day sale. Anyone want one, let me know (won't cost you £62 either!)

I have a printed signed Bowie photo on eBay from the Aladdin Sane shoot, Got it last year at a record fair with a few others, I thought I might get a fiver for it, as I type, it is at £62. Madness! It ends today, I have some Ziggy Stardust ones as well, they'll be going up as well.

When I was at Poly, I was ACHING to date Mimi, a gorgeous Chinese student two years older than me but in the same class, a REAL Asian babe (before that term was invented) She was class, real class. I tried to be cool but she wasn't having it, so I'd not long discovered Aladdin Sane by Bowie and was writing snippets of the lyrics of Lady Grinning Soul. She read some of them and asked if I enjoyed writing poetry, so I LIED and said yes, and that I was thinking of her as I wrote them! When your 18, you will try ANYTHING! I got a date out of it, went to see American Gigolo followed by cocktails at the Excelsior Hotel. I LOVED Bowie for that song! Whenever I hear that song I think of Mimi. Funningly enough, NOT China Girl. Happy days!

Curry every time. Had a chicken phall just last night. Time spent in the little room this morning was "interesting" ? Phall is basic tomato based curry sauce with lots of chillies to make it hotter. A pointless dish, the chillies numb your taste buds so you can't appreciate the flavour. Seen plenty of lads think they can handle it. They can't. I don't go above Madras, I can still taste the flavours with a Madras. Vindaloo and Phall I won't waste my time on.
