Top actor. he has done a lot of good stuff over the years, but my favourite of his was a series he did with the late, great, Pete Postlethwaite, called The Sins.
RIP and what a horrendous month for good people leaving us.

I remember also seeing him in The Wild Geese as a priest I think. He was also in Assault and Sitting Target.

Frank Finlay was one of those actors who's name showed up on the credits or his face showed up on the screen and you knew you were gonna get a good performance out of him.. Whatever the role. He starred in so much diverse, good stuff from the era, it's a shame he never really got a starring role all his own. RIP Porthos..

One of our better actors. Sadly, he was in Amicus Film's worst ever movie: 'The Killer Bees' made in 1966. Tragic but thankfully it was a rare blemish in a super career.
RIP Frank.

Good spot Arch, yes I did mean 'The Deadly Bees'. As bad as 'The Terrornauts', IMO. Both were very rare stinkers for Amicus. Not even Frank could save 'The Deadly Bees'!

Frank Finlay was born in farnworth,Bolton.and the street I was living as a child, his mother lived on the next street.when I was about 9-10 I was in our local fish and chip shop one lunch time and the man in front of me in the que was frank Finlay.he was being served and chatted to the girl serving him"I've been away for along time, how some things have changed"the girl behind the counter said"oh have you been in prison""no I'm frank Finlay and I've been away filming for 8 months and before that filming abroad for 6/7 months"the girl said "oh right frank who?"to this he replied "it doesn't matter dear" and left with his fish and chips.people behind hearing this ran outside to try catch an autograph, the girl serving me now said"funny bloke him, gave me his name frank whatever think I'd know he was,".I got home and told my mother,we where in stitches laughing.rip frank Finlay.
