Basically, they are VERY different. The pizza is a light meal in itself, albeit a large scale snack. Curry would need rice at the very least. Then it's a main meal.
I make my own pizza, including the dough which I add olive oil and marjoram which is young oregano. I use buffalo mozzarella cheese, you won't beat it! However, I have eaten from Dominoes and felt the takeaway box had more taste and texture.
I also make my own curry, including naan bread. I am confident my curries pass stringent tests, I have slowly learned to cook Nepalese curries, far drier than Indian, and feel confident to passing the grade. I do prefer Nepalese curries. However, I do frequent decent curry establishments, and each time have ALWAYS been impressed with the results.
Steer clear of curry sauces in jars, whilst decent 2nd division Fayre, it's not in the same league as a true freshly made sauce.
Overall, for me.........a curry. Just!

I don't watch James Bond much, but Alan would have been a great villain in the films.

Surprised to see he has died. Didn't even know he was ill... Like all class acts, kept his illness to his family, and not sell it to tacky magazines like Hello, looking for that one last hurrah! He was a PROPER actor, to him, it seemed effortless. Loved him in Die Hard. If only Kevin Costner hadn't felt belittled and upstaged by him in Robin Hood, we would have seen all his scenes. Costner, as producer had a lot of Alan's scenes cut out.

I have a fine CD of David rehearsing his 1983 tour in Dallas with none other than Stevie Ray Vaughan as his guitarist. What a shame that tour never happened. SRV quit on the eve of the tour, Damned shame.

A huge shock, Bowie, at times, was untouchable. Even sadder is his mad ex-wife is flogging her book detailing their time together, now watch that shoot up the charts. RIP David, and thanks for the music

Well, after reading all the obituaries on-line and in the newspapers, what I couldn't believe was the obvious statement from Bono. Whenever someone checks out in the music scene, Bono always chips in with a dubious anecdote for us to embrace/savour/dissect*
* Bono has a habit of getting his facts wrong but still gives us an opinion

Im surprised at the obvious omissions of Jagger/Richard, and more obvious, Brian Wilson. I plumped for Ray Davies, his writing is sublime

He's on record saying he collects German and not Nazi WWII items. He also says he collects them because it's the best looking, and if the Israeli army items were better, he'd collect those instead

Reading an awful lot how much of a gentleman he was. Wouldn't tolerate swearing in front of a lady. By all accounts, a really nice and polite bloke. Just ordered his White Line Fever biography before Amazon push the price up like they normally do when someone checks out.

Lots of anecdotes as you'd expect, but I loved his line; 'If Eddie Cochran were alive today, he'd be in a Heavy Metal band'

She overlapped with both mainstream entertainment, and deeper hardcore. An unusual situation that I suspect came to the notice of higher authorities, leading to pressure upon Mary. Her dalliances with an ex Prime Minister caused some very worried moments in the corridors of power in Whitehall. The Dutch films she made were a concern, but her risk of compromising high and powerful figures whilst working as a high class escort (obviously using her name as she was past it through her cocaine addiction) WAS something of a concern. Her paranoia from cocaine didn't help her. She was hounded for unpaid tax, her paranoia thought it was because of her other activities.

I think, as others have stated, JH's main contribution was to ensure footballer's got a reasonable wage. He deserves credit for that If Jimbo saw what they earn now,I think he would be ashamed.

where did the photo of Jimmy with Linda Haydn & Mary Millington come from? It does not appear to be from Simon Sheridan's book about Mary. I know Simon, I will ask him. He name checked me in both his books as I had some very rare footage from that era I gave him for 'research' I do know Miss Millington had several 'friends' at the time, Jimmy being one of them. An ex Prime Minister was another. Of course, after her notoriety and death Jimmy and her 'friends' were quick to distance themselves from her and airbrush themselves from her history, but lots of pictures still surface.

He at least knew his stuff and managed Coventry City in the '70s. In an old annual of Shoot from either '78 or '79, they predicted that they would be the team to watch in the '80s and their only trophy from that decade was the 1987 FA Cup. I'm sure that's the ONLY trophy Coventrys first team ever won. You get a Mickey mouse cup when you get promoted, so I'm not counting those. In fairness, he DID have the foresight to combat crowd trouble and got Coventry the first all seater stadium in Europe in the early 1980s.

Well, I've posted 'elsewhere' about Jimmy, but if you missed it, I detested him with a passion. Like most lads growing up, I loved MotD essential viewing. Then in 1982, my first serious girlfriend was a member of the Anti Fox hunting Brigade. I went along to a sabotage meeting, where quality dust up with some young farmers was guaranteed, along with maximum disruption spoiling the Fox scent. We lay lots of peppermint and cayenne pepper which really buggered the beagles noses up for the day, no damage, just out of action. The hunt caught up with us, mainly students, some tasty lads and a few hard core foot soldiers, when who would surprise us with a foul mouthed tirade about trespassing on private land, but Jimmy Hill!. He screamed abuse with his face contorted with sheer rage and threatened to horsewhip the lot of us. Another bloke, who turned out to be future Coventry City manager, John Sillett joined in that he was in his rights to shoot us as we were on his land. It was great fun, really exciting. What really grated me was the following week, Jimmy was his usual suave personality with his genial delivery. From that moment on, I hated him. Hopefully, those poor foxes are nipping at his @rse in another place.

I liked them when they first hit the screens, but was already aware of them with Sesame Street which was played on HK TV, as no Play School, so if I could vote for The Count (Vampire) I would. Trouble is, its been done to death and should have had the grace to call it a day when genius Jim Henson died. So, unfortunately, I had to give them a thumbs down, as despite 40 years in the game, its still pretty much the same. Fozzie Bear was OK.

Me too. I'd just been sacked the same day as Lennon got whacked. I'd been to a great gig on the 5th, had the weekend off as normal, went in on Monday morning and was sacked for taking the 5th off, even though I'd agreed it with my head chef. Appallingly, the other commis chef they took on with me worked over the Christmas period and was sacked on 2nd January for no other reason than the trade had dropped off, so I dodged a bullet.....something John didn't! Back then, you simply rang another hotel and you were working the next day. The band I saw was NWOBHM finest, Saxon. And I STILL maintain it was worth it!

Talking of 'playing Rose', I was VERY surprised to hear she played Rose in the FIRST series of Keeping Up Appearances before the role was recast. That was a decent sitcom considering what dross is on TV now.
