Yes, Ms Elvik* earned her nickname for her fiesty manner. Photographers often came up against her vicious nature, hence she didn't get as much exposure as other names at the time.
*Tracey Rice is her real name

Didn't someone nickname her the Rottweiller back then? JB Tracey Elvik.

Fitting if after the games, they were auctioned off with ALL proceeds going to his family.

Quite a few high profile names from yesteryear have resorted to this. Scandalous. Ray Kennedy at Liverpool sold EVERYTHING so he could have more treatment for Parkinsons. Just so wrong.

Very sad. You know how good he was? After losing his eye on a car crash, he plied his trade in America as a goalkeeper, and STILL did a job! Always sad when a fine player has to sell his medals, something the FA need to have a long look at themslves. RIP Gordon.

Guitar pioneer (born in Scotland) Jim Dunlop died this week. Immortalised with his cry baby Wah Wah pedal, used by Jimi and SRV, as well as other guitar innovations, guitarists everywhere owe him a debt of gratitude. RIP Jim

Sad, excellent actor. Last film of his I saw (in a small role) was the excellent Before the Devil Knows You're Dead. Check it out, truly superb. RIP Albert. Hopefully having a drink with his co-star, Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Sad. When I went to live in Bermuda in 1989, James Ingram played there that summer. It was a huge event. I didn't go, but recall the excitement as very few recording stars ever played there. RIP James

No, LDM was a topless model at 16. To appear in top shelf publications, the age minimum is 18.
Erm, so I'm told.

Great drummer from Scotland. Played with some monster guitarists such as Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore and Michael Schenker (replacing Cozy Powell, no mean feat!) Passed away after complications for a minor hernia operstion. Gutted! RIP Ted (Rock In Peace)

Rachel Garley & Kirsten Imrie were my two favourites along with Kathy Lloyd, but I thought they were all pretty girls. Kirsten Imrie and Donna Ewin for me in the 90s.

The ones you mentioned were the 1985 - 1988 "golden age" of Page 3. Corinne Russell is also a notable name from this era. Wholesome models with a lovely disposition about them. After this, the new crop of models appeared, such as Jo Guest, Linsey Dawn McKenzie and Belinda Charlton to name a few, but they weren't in the same league as the well known household names we all knew. That said, both Jo and Linsey went on to appear in top shelf magazines, something the Golden Age models steered well clear of.
Erm, so I'm told.

As Ace said, regardless of politics,I thought Paddy Ashdown was a very sound bloke. I seem to remember a story of him as an MP being confronted/attacked by somebody armed with a knife. His military training kicked in (I think he was ex-special forces) and he disarmed them with little fuss. RIP. Royal Marines and SBS (naval equivalent of SAS) I'm other words, "nails" Read a comment elsewhere that he was the only MP you could lend £10 too, as you knew you'd get it back.

Ok, just a heads up on a great product. I bought one of these a few weeks back, it's a battery chargeable shaver. Every electric shaver I've ever had including some that have cost £200 and the like have ended up on the bin. This one is different, it actually works, it gives you a great shave is not expensive, the blades cost around £12 but last for 3-4 months, it's a fantastic product and I no longer have to buy expensive razors, I've only ever trusted wet shavers but this breaks the mold, I got this one from boots for£29 including a blade fitted, I've been using it for 3 month's and changed the blade yesterday, it cost me £11 from superdrug.all those expensive rotary shavers are a load of ball bag compared to this www.superdrug.com/Mens/Shaving/Mens-Razors/Philips-Oneblade-QP2530-25-with-4-Stubble-Combs/p/711319?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzcTvzvH23gIVCJ3tCh28RAkaEAQYAyABEgLkC_D_BwE

Page 3 model, died yesterday from cancer. A lot of her colleagues rallied around and posed en-masse for an exclusive group shot that was signed for fans raising a lot of money so Belinda could have more treatment. I dealt with Donna Ewin directly to get mine. She even followed up asking if I was happy with it. Very poignant looking at it now with everyone smiling and laughing. RIP Belinda.

Very sad. She was great in The Gauntlet. As much as I love Clint, I felt he dealt her a bad hand when they broke up, I don't think she appeared in many more films due to his clout in the industry. I know he tried to have her book banned which painted him in a different light to what we thought of him.
RIP Sondra

Im all cut up. There've been a good/bad fair few deaths that've made me actually gasp in the last few years and there've been a fair few that've done that and killed my heart a little bit. This is one of the latter. Pete Shelley was a wonderful man. A real hero of my younger days. So much more than simply the front man of a very successful punk-pop crossover band, but a great songwriter, a great wit, a man of culture, a man of many sides, a great Northerner (in the classically chippy sense) and a remarkable pioneer of gay cultural identity in the punk and post-punk milieu. Diminutive, slight, but brave and brilliant. God bless him. Rest in Peace Pete, and thanks for the music.

Two excellent films there, Walkabout and The Man Who Fell To Earth.
Jenny Agutter and David Bowie were perfect in their roles in these classics.
RIP Nick, you've left a great legacy
