Sad news. The Green Death (1973), is one of my favourite Serials, from the Jon Pertwee era of Doctor Who. Stewart Bevan, appeared in episodes of two of my favourite TV series - Dick Turpin and Secret Army. Stewart Bevan, also appeared in Brannigan (one of my favourite John Wayne films) and 4D Special Agents (one of my favourite 1980's CFF Films). R.I.P. Stewart Bevan. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10535987/Doctor-star-Stewart-Bevan-dies-aged-73.html

I voted for Mr Baxter, Mrs McCluskey and Miss Mooney, I can still remember the first episode of series 5, when Miss Mooney's first lesson, was interrupted by a stink bomb, which was unleashed by Gordon 'Jonah' Jones, the teacher who Mr Baxter, punched was Mr Hicks, who had been picking on Stewpot.
Not far behind Miss Mooney, would be Mr Hopwood and Mr McGuffy.

Tucker, Alan and Bennie for me. The originals. Great series, Grange Hill. Ground breaking really. ps. I wish I knew then what I know now. I'd have saved myself and others a lot of pain and suffering, I can tell you. Westminster, did you tick your three choices, I ask because Alan Humphries, hasn't got any votes.

Very sad news. A true Liverpool FC Legend, the first Footballer to score a Goal on Match of the Day, in 1964, also the first Liverpool Footballer to score a Goal for Liverpool, in a FA Cup Final, in 1965, the first time that Liverpool won the FA Cup. Roger Hunt and Ian St John (who died earlier this year), formed a great strike partnership for Liverpool, in the 1960's. Roger Hunt, was of course part of England's 1966 World Cup winning squad, and scored three Goals, in the Group Stage. R.I.P. Roger Hunt. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10036995/Roger-Hunt-scored-Match-Days-goal-1964.htmlwww.BBC.co.uk/sport/football/58717157

Very sad news.
One of the Greatest Footballers of all time (a true legend), I have fond memories of watching Saint and Greavsie, from the mid 1980's to early 1990's.
Jimmy Greaves, scored twice for Tottenham Hotspur, in the 1963 European Cup Winners Cup Final (against Atlético Madrid), was the first time that a European Trophy, was won by a British club, Jimmy also won the FA Cup, twice, with Tottenham Hotspur.
Was of course part of the 22 man 1966 England World Cup Squad, over half that Squad have now sadly left us.
I hope Jimmy will be up there now, enjoying a good laugh with Ian St John (who we sadly lost, earlier this year).
R.I.P. Jimmy Greaves.
