I like both Herbie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but Herbie, just edges it for me, The Love Bug (1969) and Herbie Rides Again (1974), were the best Herbie films, and I have got them both on DVD, I do like the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), but have never been keen on the part of the film, where Caractacus Potts (Dick Van Dyke), Truly Scrumptious (Sally Ann Howes), Jeremy (Adrian Hall) and Jemima (Heather Ripley), go to the land of Vulgaria.

Tom Baker, is definitely my favourite Doctor Who, followed by Jon Pertwee, third favourite Doctor, difficult choice, but it would definitely be one of the Doctors, from classic Doctor Who (1963-1989).
1970-1981, was a great period in the history of Doctor Who, many classic Doctor Who stories, were made, during the Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker eras, a period which also featured my favourite Doctor Who assistant - Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen).
Re - Colin Baker (the sixth Doctor Who), I can remember meeting Colin (a very nice experience), in a Store, in Norwich, Colin, is definitely the nicest Doctor Who star, I have ever met.

Being a football fan, I have always liked this episode, Karl Howman (who I will always remember most, from the Sitcom Brush Strokes), was very good in the role of Danny Varrow, also good to see George Sweeney and Adrienne Posta, in this episode.
I can remember finding out, a few years ago, that Rafferty's secretary, was played by Gill Clark, who was a member of the dance troupe Legs & Co, who appeared on Top Of The Pops, from 1976-1981.
Good to see, that Gill, got to say one line (five words) in this episode.

I recently bought (on DVD) Winston Churchill: The Wilderness Years, In which Chloe Salaman, played the role of Sarah Churchill.

Below is a Press Photograph (which I obtained on eBay). Written below, the words which can be found on the back of the above Press Photograph. Thames Television Minder Wednesday 8 February 1984 9.00 - 10.00 pm "The Car Lot Baggers" "You don't actually tell lies... just let the truth get the better of you", is how Terry (Dennis Waterman) sums up Arthur (George Cole) - in Minder tonight, by Trevor Preston. Second hand car dealer Wally West (Harry Scott) has been fined eleven hundred pounds for tampering with mileage recorders, by Marylebone Magistrates, but Arthur's friend Wally, has another problem, his car lot has been broken into and all his log books and keys stolen, everyone in the area blames any theft or vandalism on gypsies camped there, but when Arthur hires out Terry to keep a vigilant eye on Wally's car lot, Terry meets up with the gypsies and is sure they are not the culprits.... Arthur has another matter on his mind, Wally says he is into a good little earner and wants Arthur to clinch the deal, he knows a funeral director (Artro Morris) who is retiring, and has a Daimler hearse and two Princess limos to sell, he also knows a likely buyer, Mrs. Murdoch (June Whitfield) who runs her late husband's undertaking business, the three vehicles "are in mint condition, Mrs. Murdoch, and they drive like silk", Arthur assures the potential purchasers... Pictured: Chloe Salaman as Ellen, the wife of one of the local gypsies - in Euston Films' Minder - The Car Lot Baggers.

Definitely another one of my favourite episodes, I can remember recording Days of Fines and Closures, when the episode, was first shown in 1989.
Yet again, Arthur shows how devious and self-centered, he can be, putting up the cancelled sign, at the auction, and asking Justin (Mark Farmer), to get rid of his fellow bidder, at the auction, and when the auctioneer asks for Arthur's name, Arthur's reply - McCann, also when Arthur wants Terry to be the bouncer at the opening of Tony Benson's nightclub, and Terry would rather look after the Winchester Club.
I enjoyed seeing Jones (the Welsh Wizard), get the better of Rycott, when he helped Arthur and Terry, in making sure the Winchester Club's licence renewal, would be successful.
Also enjoyed the scenes, featuring Arthur's attempts, to brighten up the Winchester Club, and Dave's words at the end of the episode, when he saw what Arthur had done to the Winchester Club - Arthur Daley, you're barred.
Some good guest stars in this episode - George Baker, Thorley Walters, Tony Selby, Patricia Maynard and Tim Barrett.
The third Minder episode, to feature a supermarket scene.
Below is a screencap (from Days of Fines and Closures) of Patricia Maynard as Lucy Harris.

I can remember watching Gunfight at the O.K. Laundrette, when the episode (introduced by George Cole) was shown in 1994, I seem to remember that the scenes featuring Dave (Glynn Edwards), were omitted, because of money reasons.
Below is a screencap (from Gunfight at the O.K. Laundrette) of Linda Regan as Liz.
In the above scene, Liz had just been shown (by Arthur) her photograph, on the front cover of the Sunday Mirror Newspaper (which can be seen earlier in this Thread).

Very sad news. He was of course in Minder's "Get Daley". RIP Gordon. Get Daley, is one of my favourite Minder episodes.
I can remember seeing Gorden, in the stage version of 'Allo 'Allo!.
Gorden, also appeared in the film version of Porridge (1979).
R.I.P. Gorden Kaye.

I think the best parts, of this episode, were definitely the scenes, involving the carpet cleaning business, the scene where Arthur and Terry, try out the carpet cleaner, in the Winchester, and the steam, from the carpet cleaner, quickly fills the room, a scene that always makes me laugh, and also the scene, where Arthur, tries to get rid of the wine stain, from the lady's carpet, and when Arthur, makes a mess of the carpet, he comes out with the words - Arabian patch.
Also good to see Frank Williams (who I have seen, a few times, at Dad's Army Days, at Bressingham, Norfolk), in a small role, in this episode.

A screencap from the one-off ITV Drama Somewhere to Run (1989), featuring some of the cast watching the Minder episode The Last Video Show.
The scene (from the Minder episode The Last Video Show), which can be seen in the above screencap, is the scene, where Arthur was complaining (over the phone) to Barry, about the T-Shirts - Daley Videos bringing Holywood to your home.

I have always liked series seven of Minder, and The Last Video Show, is one of my favourite episodes, from series seven.
As mentioned in other posts on this Thread, plenty of memorable moments, in this episode, and great guest stars.
Nice to see Emma Wray (one of Dennis's co-stars from Stay Lucky), in a small role, in this episode, and her memorable words (about Arthur) to Terry, when she walked out of Arthur's Video shop, after quitting her job - don't let the old f..t grind you down.
This episode also shows how times change, no demand for Video shops, nowadays, all DVD's and Blu-Rays (much better picture quality).
I am sure that this was the episode, where I can remember reading at the time (the episode was shown), that Dennis Waterman didn't know that Rula Lenska, was going to be in the episode, until she walked on to the set, one day, much to Dennis's surprise.
A clip from The Last Video Show, can be seen in the one-off ITV Drama Somewhere to Run (1989).

One of my favourite Minder episodes, I can remember recording this episode, when it was shown as part of a classic TV night, on Channel 4, in the 1990's, I can also remember that the very first episode of Man About the House (which I also recorded), was also shown, as part of the classic TV night on Channel 4.
As mentioned in other posts, on this Thread, plenty of memorable scenes in this episode, one memorable scene in the Winchester - when Terry receives a phone call, from John Standen, who's sorry to hear about Terry's heart condition - the look on Arthur's face (unforgettable).
Below is a Press Photograph (which I obtained on eBay).
Written below, the words which can be found on the back of the above Press Photograph.

"The Son Also Rises"
Divorcee, Muriel Standen (Annabel Leventon) wants to buy a record player as a present for her teenage son, John (Stephen Garlick), Arthur (George Cole) has one going cheap, very cheap, as he says "It's genuine Chippendale"! - in Minder tonight.
When John is mugged on his way home from school, Muriel decides he needs a "minder" so Terry (Dennis Waterman ) gets the job, But this is no ordinary mugging..... someone has hired the muggers.... who....? and why....?
Pictured: Centre: Alfie Bass as Arthur's accountant friend, Morrie Levin Left: Dennis Waterman as Terry, the Minder. Right: Stephen Garlick as young John Standen - as seen in Minder "The Son Also Rises".
A bit of misinformation above, John Standen, wasn't mugged on his way home from school, he was of course roughed up.

I have always liked this episode, great chemistry between Dennis and Jan Francis, I like the scenes where they were on the boat, sailing down the Canal.
I can remember thinking once, when I watched this episode, how different Terry's flat looked.
I can also remember that this was one of four Minder episodes, which featured a supermarket scene.
Good to see Peter Capaldi (the current Dr Who) and David Daker, in this episode.
Below is a screencap (from Life in the Fast Food Lane) of Jan Francis as Sarah Bates.
