A fine actor. I liked him in 'Frenzy' and as a spycatcher in 'Palfrey Of Westminster' in the 80s.
RIP Alec

There are lots of reasons you can dislike Collins, the music being one of many. He is a good drummer, I'll give him that, but I honestly don't like his singing. His political views annoy me very much, but at least he kept his promise in 97, just a pity they let him back in. JUst something about the bloke that doesn't sit right with me. It's a pity Paul O'Grady hasn't kept his promise to leave the country like he said he would in 2015.

I like pinball. I also used to play the quiz machines and watched 'Indoor League' in the 70s.

1984. Winston Smith (John Hurt) opposite Richard Burton. Enough said. It was Richard Burton's last film.

Interesting to see Donald Trump hasn't picked up a single vote yet..... *But then again I mean who in their right mind would vote for that guy, right? *please note the punch line to that is not meant to be a serious political statement. It could be because people don't want pick a political figure and discuss politics on here.

Brand, Phil Collins, Morgan, Lemon and O'Grady.
Russell Brand - Never found him funny and is self-obsessed as he thinks everybody should treat his political preaching seriously.
Paul O'Grady - Same as Russell Brand except I'm still waiting for him to leave the country like he said he would if the Tories were re-elected in 2015.
Phil Collins - Just for being Phil Collins
Piers Morgan - Just for being Piers Morgan
Keith Lemon - Never found him funny and he is a lemon.

Linda Thorson for me. Met her a couple of times and she's a really nice lady with plenty of time for fans. That's great to know. You have to feel a bit for Linda, replacing Diana, who had such presence. She was only 21 or so too wasn't she? Those last lot of episodes are excellent and I think the original series went out on a high. If it wasn't Linda, what would everyone have thought of Jane Merrow as Peel's replacement? I think Jane Merrow would have been a good replacement for Mrs Peel.

All great songs but I went for 'Eton Rifles'. I think it's one of the best songs ever written. I can listen to it 100+ times and never get bored with it.

All great songs but I went for 'Baggy Trousers' as I remember dancing to it at the local youth club and 'Night Boat To Cairo'. I've still got the 'Complete Madness' album and video.

Not sure if on here already, but The Darkness Xmas song from about 2003, is a terrible song, it was on the radio yesterday, but to be fair they were a terrible group. Have to say I have avoided Xmas music this year. I think Christmas songs are rubbish. This year in particular has been bad. I don't know why but this year more so than other years they've particularly got on my nerves.. I genuinely cannot see the appeal of listening to the same dogsh!t being played over and over repeatedly. Even some Christmas songs I quite like, have started to irritate me. And now it's become some sort of modern tradition to play this cack endlessly. Why not next year just not play any? I know I'm not on my own either because I asked this old biddy who was working the checkout at Tussco if she found this repeated barrage of Christmas songs annoying.. And she replied 'Yes, rather.' I agree Arch. Even Christmas records I liked when they first came out irritate me now through being overplayed.

I'm a big fan of Debbie Harry and like some of her solo stuff but her solo work was 2nd-rate compared to Blondie. My brother had the Roland Rat album.

Debbie Harry for me mainly because of her Blondie work although I do like her 'In Love With Love' SAW remix. I had to vote for Dead Or Alive as 'You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)' is my favourite SAW record. I also voted for Errol Brown although that's for his Hot Chocolate work.
Three others I like are Donna Summer and Bananarama but for their pre-SAW work and Hazell Dean as I like 'Searchin' (I Gotta Find A Man)', and 'Whatever I do (Wherever I Go)' which was a SAW production.

'There's No One Quite Like Grandma' was a pointless answer on tonight's 'Pointless' which is appropriate as it's a pointless record.

Anyone remember Duran Duran's version of White Lines (Don't Do It)? I thought it was an interesting cover. I remember it and like it. I liked some of their late 80s-early 90s songs but not as much as their earlier work. They had a commercial decline in that period like a lot of acts that had big commercial success pre-Live Aid.
