Best known to most people from The Royle Family.
There was a Mike Leigh Play For Today called Hard Labour where she massaged Clifford Kershaw's (The Sweeney ep Lovong Arms) hairy back.

RIP Liz (Betty Gleadle).
One of those actresses that appeared in loads of stuff and had one of those 'once seen never forgotten' faces and dotty styles. I probably remember her best for The Life and Loves of a She-Devil. But she was on prolifically when I was watching TV.

A superb actress who didn't start off acting until she was nearly 50.
Was brilliant as Nan in the Royle Family and the numerous roles she played on TV, I remember her from The Bill a few times and also sure she was in a Sweeney episode.
Played a part in the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory alongside Johnny Depp in 2005.
RIP Liz
