To be honest, I always thought Les Dawson was a far better host on the show. The less said about Lily Savage, the better! I hate Paul O'Grady as he said he was going to leave the country if the Tories were re-elected but hasn't.

I remember also seeing him in The Wild Geese as a priest I think. He was also in Assault and Sitting Target. Yes, he was a priest in The Wild Geese.

Back in the '80s, me and my family would always be in the living room watching his show every weekday evening while we were having our dinner. He would tell his usual anecdotes before introducing his guests and there would always be a pop or rock group turning up to perform their latest hit single. But an enduring image of him for me will be him with mike in hand presenting Blankety Blank. RIP Mr. Wogan. BTW does anyone remember Wogan's Web which was on BBC1 during the daytime in the late 1990s? That was quite funny in a dark way as he once threw darts at a picture of Carol Vorderman who was ubiquitous at the time.I remember it. It was when I also used to watch 'Wipeout' with Bob Monkhouse during daytime. There were some decent programmes on BBC1 during daytime back in the 90s instead of the cooking, antiques, property etc. programmes on daytime BBC1 now.

I've always preferred the Two Ronnies. I think Morecambe and Wise were a bit more hit and miss and later series relied too much on guest stars. Their ITV series were poor.
I also never found Tommy Cooper funny.

I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, and I feel for his friends, fans and family, but I can't stand The Eagles. I just can't stand them. Joe Walsh is good though, and I did like Don Henleys Boys of Summer as a solo hit in 84 or 85. Apart from that, I just think any American MOR AOR music makes me want to turn the radio off. I cannot abide it. I like Boys Of Summer and In The City-Joe Walsh which was in 'The Warriors' which is one of my all-time favourite films. I like Hotel California and can listen to the odd track of American MOR/AOR but not a whole album of it.

All gorgeous (except David Doyle as Bosley ) but I've always loved Jaclyn Smith even though she's nearly 25 years older than me.

I'm thinking Heather M as whatever people say about Yoko, John Lennon loved her and stayed with her until his death. Paul McCartney's children never approved of Heather whereas they do approve of his latest wife Nancy.

Watched this episode tonight, one of my favourites. Don Henderson, Billy Murray, Michael Kitchen, Stickley from the Sweeney and the guy who played the photographer from the Sweeney also, Leeroy I think the character he played was called, sorry I am rubbish at remembering episode titles. That is as good a line up of supporting actors as you can get. George Cole has a load of good traits as an actor but for me he is at his absolute best when he is being threatened by somebody or something bad is happening to him, the facial expressions are just priceless, a joy to watch. He played Leroy in 'The Bigger They Are'.

I think that's ONLY Olive left now. Very dated 'comedy' with Stan and Jacks antics that would get them arrested these days. RIP Blakey She's the only one left of the regular cast. I liked it at the time but very dated and unPC now.

I like all of them but my favourite is Diana Rigg (Emma Peel). I agree. I also think Linda Thorson is overlooked and I enjoyed her episodes. I like Linda Thorson and the writing and stories were still good in her episodes.

After my discovery of Around The Corner, I followed on with this one. A tad surreal at times, but a good light hearted episode. Didn't think Richard Briars was very good in it and he usually is very good, for me Peter Bowles would have been a good bit of casting for this part. George Sweeney was in it, who I rate highly as an actor who we haven't seen enough of on TV. Always remember his performances in the Sweeney episodes when he plays the ex army guy with mental issues. I hope I am right in thinking he played that character in 2 episodes.
For me the episode was a little too polished, the best episodes of Minder are when they are on location in some of the less salubrious parts of London, just gave the episodes a more gritty, realistic feel. He did as he played Tim Cook in 'Taste Of Fear' (my favourite Sweeney episode) and 'On The Run'.

I never wanted to be the thimble or iron. Good lad! As far as those items are concerned there's just too many connections to women's work.... Best to start your distancing yourself from these at a very early age I find. I agree.

I voted for the racing car as the coolest. If I couldn't have the racing car when I played Monopoly I liked to be the ship, top hat, dog or shoe. I never wanted to be the thimble or iron. My family used to live just off the Old Kent Road when I was a child. It's appropriate that it's the cheapest property on the board as it's a cheap, run-down, depressing area.

Not at all, just hate the false outpouring of grief over a has-been that had very little talent. My best friend is a scouser and attests she wasn't welcome in Liverpool since relocating to Buckingham years ago. I have heard that a lot of Liverpool people didn't like her as she didn't go back to visit unlike other people from Liverpool who became successful and left Liverpool but would go back to visit. I wasn't a fan of hers but I do have sympathy for her family and friends. I don't know why Cheryl Fernandez-Versini or whatever she calls herself this week had to come out and show her grief publicly. Even worse was Piers Morgan giving a gushing tribute as if he was a close pal of Cilla.

More on Wimpy - it looks like there's 88 Wimpys in the UK. I don't think there are any Cornwall but there are 2 in Devon (one in Newton Abbot and one in Barnstaple). Okay, I finally voted. It was close but Metal Mickey earned my vote through having absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever... What a loser!! Exactly. What was he supposed to do and how did he benefit the family? I can't remember him doing anything useful like doing jobs around the house.

Robot Redford was rubbish but I don't think he was as annoying as Metal Mickey. K9 could be annoying but I don't feel embarrassed about liking him when I was a child whereas I'm embarrassed about ever liking Metal Mickey.

I liked it when I was a child but I can't believe I ever liked it. It was sh*te. I don't think Metal Mickey ever did anything useful like a robot should. I liked K9 and didn't mind Twiki in 'Buck Rogers' and B-9 in 'Lost In Space'.
