Being American I don’t know how some of these couples are annoying but it was still easy to pick three and extremely easy to cast the first vote. 😊

I think this is only the second time I have watched Series/Season Nine. I didn’t remember anything about this episode so it was like seeing it for the first time. Not great but a good, solid episode. Lots of fine moments through out and good bits of characterization for Ray and Arthur.

Based on the title I didn’t remember anything about this episode when I sat down to watch it again last night. Not a great episode but a very good one packed with great Arthur Daley moments. Watching his reaction after seeing “Silence of the Lambs” is still amusing.

Sadly his passing isn’t getting the attention it deserves here in the U.S. A true American Hero in the traditional sense. Like Neil Armstrong he was remarkably low key about his accomplishments.

Watched this again last night and still enjoyed it quite a bit. I have now seen all of Series 8 at least three times. I still find it uneven over all but there are some good episodes and lots of great moments throughout. The series does end with two top episodes in a row.

Watched this again last night and enjoyed it a great deal. Arthur alone with Mickey is still a nice moment in the series.

A bit slower paced but one of the better Series Eight episodes. As has been noted there are lots of great lines throughout. Arthur explaining things to Morley is a standout scene. This time Arthur’s BS double talk actually makes some sense under the circumstances and could be true even though he’s actually lying through his teeth. 😄

There are some good moments throughout but this episode is more uneven than I remember it being. It is also one of the Series Eight episodes plagued with unusual music.

I always liked Plummer’s role in Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country. His performance is big, at times close to going over top, but it works extremely well and his character never looses credibility. He plays it like his character Chang is Shatner/Kirk's mirror image, Shakespearean flourishes and all. They complement each other very well. Wasn't surprised to learn the two of them were good friends in real life. And they were both born in Canada.

A few years ago when I met Martin Landau he had just done a film about Holocaust survivors with Christopher Plummer. He spoke highly of Plummer and it wasn’t just the expected plaudits, he genuinely liked and respected him.

Former American Football player and actor Mike Henry passed away in January but his family released the news today. He had been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease and other health problems for several years. Henry retired from Football when he was cast as Tarzan and played the character in three films in the 1960s. He is also known for playing Jackie Gleason’s moronic son in the movie Smokey and the Bandit. Henry also appeared in the movies The Green Berets, Soylent Green, Rio Lobo, Skyjacked and The Longest Yard and various TV shows. He stated his acting career with small parts while playing for the Los Angeles Rams. He also played football for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rest In Peace I remember him from Smokey, didn't know anything else about him, If he played NFL in that time period, it probably affected his health, though given how hard it must have been back then he maybe did well to make it this far. RIP There have been claims that his Parkinson’s was the result of his time in the NFL.

I really like his work with George Harrison and John Lennon.
Spector could be described as strange for most of his adult life.

The reporting on Tanya Roberts is a fiasco. No two media outlets seem to have the same “facts”. Is she alive or is she dead? Is she in the hospital or not? Is she healthy or is she ill? The situation is insulating to her or anyone else in such a situation. In this day-and age how is this mess possible? Then it again it took the media awhile to figure out if Tom Petty was alive or dead ant not along ago Bob Dylan was briefly reported as having died.

Heard her a couple of times as a guest on a radio show a few years ago. She came across as very friendly, likeable and she had an obvious sense of humor about herself and her career.
I also remember her because she was on the cover of the first issue of Playboy I could legally buy.

George Lucas offered him the roles of both Darth Vader and Chewbacca. Prowse chose Vader knowing that people tended to remember the villains in movies more than they do the heroes sidekicks. Prowse was also hired to get Christopher Reeve in to shape when he was cast as Superman.

Finished my third viewing of the Terry years tonight. I like this episode but I still kind of wish Terry had a proper exit from the program.

Watched this great episode again and probably enjoyed it even more this time. As good as this episode is and as much as I like it, tonight I wished Chisholm had been in the episode instead of Rycott. It would have been great to see “Cheerful Charlie” in those final scenes. He probably would have spontaneously combusted or imploded at the end of the episode!
