I forgot how young she was when she did Star Trek II. Rest In Peace. About 30 or 31? She made her big screen debut in ST2. She had nice eyes similar to Meg Foster. She was good in a lot of films but I liked her in the thriller Blind Date from 1984 (not the Bruce Willis/Kim Basinger one) which also starred Lana Clarkson. My faulty brain didn’t read the dates correctly. I was thinking she was about ten years younger when she did Wrath of Khan.

Being American I am surprised I’m learning of his passing here. I was never much of a Sesame Street fan but he always seemed to be exactly what he was on screen. Rest In Peace.

Was looking at something else and saw this news. A highly dependable bad guy actor with a very long list of credits. RIP

I think she was a first class monarch. I'm glad she didn't suffer too much in her final days. A lot of world leaders, politicians and other royals should look to her example of how to behave on the world stage. Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth II. Her behavior and class really needs to be imported over here.

The original Uhura in Star Trek passed away today at the age of 89. Her death is just now making the news. Best known for her association with Star Trek she also worked for decades with NASA to recruit women and members of various ethnic groups to work in the space program.
Rest In Peace

He made an enduring impression with his performance in Goodfellas. An impressive achievement since the film is packed with great performances.

RIP James Caan. Was in loads of good stuff. An iconic actor for sure. Big ups to those mentioned along with Freebie and the Bean and Rollerball. Elf and The Killer Elite, loads to mention though. So etc… An actor I’ve always had time for. Off the back of his performance in The Godfather didn’t he win some award like This Years Best Italian American or something daft, only to have to politely turn down the award on the grounds that he was Jewish or something. He joked when he was doing The Godfather that he was a “German Jew” but “more Italian” than most Italians he knew.

A dependable and underrated actor. Rollerball was the first R rated movie I ever saw and I still enjoy it. As a kid, I think the second movie I ever saw him in was A Bridge Too Far. He is certainly memorable in The Godfather and the expanded versions of the film helps show how good he really was as Sonny. Rest In Peace.

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an empire to run.” That line from Arthur amused me. Always enjoy his delusions of grandeur.
This is a massive improvement over the previous piece of cr*p episode.

I didn’t remember the plot to this episode when I put it on to watch this afternoon. I quickly remembered and after about ten minutes I turned it off and moved on to the next episode. Arthur’s quip about the large cardboard check being legal tender is mildly amusing. I sat through this entire episode once. I think that’s enough.
I’d be interested in knowing why the script was ever approved for production. It is too poor to simply blame on the realities of TV production in that something had to be filmed. Weak scripts occasionally do have to be used but this one was a disaster.

Solid character actor. He was good as Jim Rockford’s lawyer in the later episodes of The Rockford Files. He also pops up in American Graffiti. Always enjoyed his whack job character in The Wild Bunch. One of those actors that never seemed to be out of work. Quite a list of credits.
Rest In Peace.

Watched this again this afternoon. I think it’s only the second time I’ve seen it. I enjoyed it a great deal more this time and will change my vote. Arthur’s dealing with the nun and his “conversion” are amusing. Arthur is seriously shoveling the BS when he meets the American at the end. 😄

Interesting to read how Dennis Waterman’s passing is being treated on TV. For my homemade tribute I was going to watch some favorite episodes from The Sweeney and Minder. Instead I am going to start watching The Sweeney again from the beginning. I am currently watch the last of the Ray Minder episodes and when I finish them instead of taking a break from the show I will go right into rewatching the Terry years. You should do a Dennis Not Minder and Not Sweeney fest next pr1, plenty of gems in there! If anyone wants to see 1970's 'My Lover My Son', a PM is all you need. Not a bad idea. I do a few other things he did. I saw Go Cart Go on YouTube and found it entertaining.

It may sound corny but it’s kind of nice to think that somewhere Dennis is having a drink or two with John and George, talking over old times and having a good laugh.

A hero has left us. Inspired so many to join the police as Carter. Gutted, so few Minder actors left with us now - Dennis was superb in pretty much everything he appeared in. R.I.P. Our Dennis Inspiring people to join the police is a fine legacy.

I am stunned to see this news. Unlike most of you I have only been familiar with Terry and Carter for about six years. Very sad. He was great as both characters and his place in the history of U.K. Television is more than secure.
Rest In Peace Mr. Waterman. Many Thanks for all the entertainment. Cheers Mate!
