Sesame Street star Bob McGrath has died age 90. He was on Sesame Street for over 50 years. Now then, if there was ever a guy on TV that you felt was the nicest bloke in the world when you were growing up, it was Bob on Sesame Street. Every Christmas I watch the 1978 Sesame Street Christmas Special which is one of the nicest things I first saw when I just 4 or 5. RIP Bob, thank you for all your work and keep Christmas with you

Such a good person, helping a generation of kids get into learning and sporting being on screen with those puppets. So much hard man and mafia culture back then for him to take the time to make that show work for the children of yesterday. RIP

Being American I am surprised I’m learning of his passing here. I was never much of a Sesame Street fan but he always seemed to be exactly what he was on screen. Rest In Peace.
