It must of been cut. There is a scene where Ray walks in on Gloria who is having a drink with Field where she does moan at him.

I've got to say, about Arthur not knowing Dave's name. To me it comes across as if Arthur checks to see who is behind the bar before replying to Maurice's question of what's the blokes name behind the bar.

Yep, absolutely love this one!
And just to complete those lines...
Arthur: Next time you see me here, don't know me, right? Previous: Fair enough Arthur, shall we say a tenner? Arthur: Yeah by all means, there's a quid on account. The rest on satisfactory completion of the agreement. Previous: I'll be seeing ya Arthur: No you won't!

Yeah this is a great episode. I love Arthurs line to Rabbit.
"You might be the longest surviving dispatch rider in London but only the favoured few step foot in the inner sanctum. Got it it Rabbit? Good, now hop it!"

I totally agree and I reckon that this was the episode that killed off the series to be honest. It's rating never recovered after this one.

Interesting that they say that Leon Griffiths was working on a draft for a forthcoming film version.

I'm pretty sure that I remember reading that this is the episode that made Dennis Waterman realise what the gist of Minder was all about.
I've always loved this one too. Some excellent writing by Leon Griffiths & top performances from the cast.

I was watching this one again this morning. I wouldn't be surprised if Sidney's character originally started life as Solly Salmon from 'Return Of The Invincable Man'. They are virtually the same character, plus with Solly's past history with insurance scams I think that would have made this story easier to accept.

Series 10 does actually have some strong stories in it as well as a couple weaker ones. Totally agree with your views on this one jno, a top class episode.

Although it's a flash back episode I do enjoy the banter in the new scenes.

The great thing is, Bernie The Bosh is first mentioned in "Looking For Micky".
