I love his late 50s/early 60s peak on Jamie Records as collected on the Bear Family Records set ‘Twangin' From Phoenix To L.A’. - addictive. I saw him at the Palladium a few years ago. Bruce Welch was one of his guests. His backing band were nothing special but Duane Eddy himself still had it. He was one of those 2nd phase Rock n Roll artists like Buddy Holly, Ricky Nelson and The Everly Brothers who had loads of hits in Britain. RIP

RIP, the Peter Gun track with Art Of Noise was one of the most iconic tracks of the era.

As a mid teenager I was addicted to the arcade game Spy Hunter which used the Peter Gunn theme as its background music.
