Another Bond villain gone - this time Mr Big/Kananga from Live And Let Die. He was also brilliant as Parker in Alien and appeared on TV in Mannix, Hill Street Blues, The A Team, Homicide: Life On The Street (in which he had regular role) and was in a great TV movie which featured Richard Bradford called Badge Of The Assassin.
RIP.

Absolute powerhouse of an actor. Used to really like the way he tore up the screen as the boss in Homicide.

He was in so many things for decades, and a standout in every one of them. His role in one of the best cop shows of all time, Homicide: Life On The Street, was truly memorable. RIP

From Alien as Parker, Midnight Run as agent Mowsley and supporting actor in the Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger .
I think we can all remember him complimenting Roger Moore on his 'particularly handsome wristwatch'in Live and Let Die as Dr Kananga or Mr Big.

Yes, some iconic roles and I enjoyed his performances. Was interesting to find out he turned down the role of Picard in 'Star Trek TNG' as it was a step down to do TV in the days before loads of famous film actors took on TV series.

Very surprised I haven’t heard anything about this on the news in America. I didn’t know about it until I saw it here.
Rest In Peace
