This fantastic composer/musician/arranger died back in March, although I only just discovered this. One of the most respected and in demand professionals in his field. I remember hearing his 'Footsteps on the Moon' for the first time in the early 1970s, courtesy of a flexi disc that came with Ready Brek. I hadn't realised then just how legendary and important this record (and the album from which it came) and the man himself would become. I have just heard that particular tune for the first time in almost 50 years and I found that a) I remembered it almost perfectly and b) it made me feel very, very strange hearing it again. An incredibly evocative piece. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Harris_(musician)www.heraldscotland.com/opinion/18376003.obituary-johnny-harris-one-worlds-greatest-musical-arrangers/

I resdiscovered 'Footprints On the Moon' about 20 years ago and it has been on my i-pod ever since. I also bought the album 'Movements' on vinyl - it has some cracking tracks on it.

Yes, sorry to hear this. I like that era of MOR/library music, of which Johnny Harris was very much a part.
R.I.P. Johnny Harris.
