Very famous American actor in the 60s and 70s.
He appeared in dozens of films but is probably best remembered for 'Bonnie & Clyde' and 'Hannibal Brooks'. He was superb in 'Bonnie & Clyde'. Also appeared in TV series like 'Lost in Space' and 'Star Trek: TOS'.

Yes, he wasn't an actor you could forget in a hurry.

Won an Oscar in his Bonnie and Clyde role.....no mean feat when you consider what Beatty, Runaway and Hackman went on to achieve!

A surprisingly good actor. Unusual, occasionally an annoying presence (in his character roles). One you were unlikely to forget though. I liked him he made some great off beat movies like Sunday In The Country and the slasher movie 'American Gothic', with Steiger.

Always remember him as The Ratcatcher in Split Second. Probably less than five minutes screen time but made his prescence felt nonetheless.

Didn't recognise the name, but when I looked for a photograph I did recognise him. His episode of Star Trek (Miri) was originally banned by the BBC.

Didn't recognise the name, but when I looked for a photograph I did recognise him. His episode of Star Trek (Miri) was originally banned by the BBC. 'Miri' was shown once and then banned by the BBC. The other 3 episodes were banned without being shown.
