One of my least favourite episodes this. One thing I found a little bit strange is the fact that the kid is said to have come from Warrington. Yet the actor who played him, Warren O’Neil, has a very distinctive Salford accent. Maybe that’s where he grew up because people in Bury do not speak like that. Not just a Minder issue for a long time program makers never really paid attention to accents look at Jimmy Nail’s terrible Irish accent in his episode, in the eighties if you were rural accent on tv it was all oo ar like the Wurzels despite what part of the country you was from, most actors put on the same Irish accent , a London accent was either incredibly posh or over the top Cockney, thankfully now regional accents from actors are normally the correct accent.
