Most of us grow hair. Some more than others. If hair growth is allowed to grow out of control it can make the grower look unkempt. Scruffy. In the olden days this was of course okay and it was perfectly acceptable to get a job as Rapunzel, a wizard or a caveman. These days though with our seemingly endless obsession with body image and personal grooming we have to bring our A game when it comes to looking sharp. But how do you like to keep on top of unwanted hair? Maybe you don't grow much hair these days but a loved one does? Do you like traditional methods like razors and scissors or do you prefer all this newfangled science stuff like chemicals and lasers? As suggested by: Daz

I like people cutting my hair best. My barber is an interesting dude and I'm an excellent conversationalist, so we can shoot the breeze for England. We talk about cool stuff when I go in there. Proper man b*ll*cks. None of this modern metrosexual cobblers, like you get in unisex hairdressers. Jeez, you go in those places and before you know it you are talking about reality TV and where you're going next on holiday.
I hate shaving I have sensitive skin.

We have a few excellent Turkish barbers where I live. They do a fantastic hot towel shave (with cut throat razor) for £7.00 I shave my head (not razor) as its receded over the years. All that bleach, dye and perm styles over the years caught up with me! I remember my first shave at 17 using my old man's razor. I felt I'd shaved with a broken bottle. Awful rash and redness for days. Now I use a post balm, poncey? Maybe, but soothes perfectly. I don't use aftershave anymore. Yet I still get bottles of it at Christmas and my birthday.

I shave my own hair, or whats left of it each Saturday and do my face as well at the same time, I only shave once a week. I have a scar on my right cheek which makes shaving tricky. I can only use an electric shaver as well due to this scar as a slight nik can cause all sorts of problems which means I haven't had a wet shave for over 20 years so no chance of being able to use Turkish barbers.

I might buy an electric razor.. what's best in your 20years experience?? I have a Remington set which does my hair and face and is quite good. I also have a Remington face one as well which I have had for a few years, but I have to admit to not liking it too much as feels as though it pulls out the hair instead of actually cutting it which can be quite painful. Electric is good if you shave everyday, but if, like me, you only shave every few days they can be a pain with longer growth and take a few attempts to get a good clean shave. I would have to say my first Phillips was the best razor I had, but I dropped it and it smashed it and have used Remingtons since, but would say Phillips were the best although they are quite pricey.

I hate shaving. I do it as rarely as possible. I once borrowed a friend's aftershave and when I put it on, it felt like I had just splashed my face with acid. I swear to you, I was on the bathroom floor screaming for about ten minutes. Well, maybe five. Never again. I always manage to cut myself with a razor anyway. Nowadays I just use clippers.
Had my back waxed a couple of times and 1) it is agony, like being tortured and 2) the hair does NOT grow back as thickly and is definitely diminished by the process.
Go to the hairdressers about twice a year. Have been known to shave it all off when bored.

Nothing is funnier than seeing a man getting waxed when they show it on tv. It shouldn't be funny to see a man crying out in pain, but it is.

Well, after all the ads, I'm giving Harry's trial a go. Razor, blade, gel all free, just £3.95 p&p. Looks a decent blade, I usually use Gilette Fusion 5, and they ain't cheap! Harry's have got some good reviews, it's worth a punt.

Ok, just a heads up on a great product. I bought one of these a few weeks back, it's a battery chargeable shaver. Every electric shaver I've ever had including some that have cost £200 and the like have ended up on the bin. This one is different, it actually works, it gives you a great shave is not expensive, the blades cost around £12 but last for 3-4 months, it's a fantastic product and I no longer have to buy expensive razors, I've only ever trusted wet shavers but this breaks the mold, I got this one from boots for£29 including a blade fitted, I've been using it for 3 month's and changed the blade yesterday, it cost me £11 from superdrug.all those expensive rotary shavers are a load of ball bag compared to this www.superdrug.com/Mens/Shaving/Mens-Razors/Philips-Oneblade-QP2530-25-with-4-Stubble-Combs/p/711319?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzcTvzvH23gIVCJ3tCh28RAkaEAQYAyABEgLkC_D_BwE

As this relates to hair I figure I can post here, has there been a Death match between what hair colour is preferred ? And by this I mean your partner or just what grabs your attention in a good way. I thought there had been this question before but I can't see it. Now this could be blonde, brunette, red, grey (Lol), white, pink/mermaid hair, punk shaved, bald (well some like bald men, the well groomed clean look and it's common these days, no flip overs etc. allowed). Just a thought. This display at my weekend work inspired my question.
