en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuckle_BrothersVery sad to hear Barry "chuckle" Elliot has sadly passed away. A huge mainstay crossing several generations in childrens entertainment, loved watching them when I was younger, and then more when my younger brothers grew up, then again as my own kids grow up, was even watching old episodes last week with my youngest. RIP Barry

I loved the Chuckle Brothers and stood next to them in a bar on Blackpool Pier back in the 90s. I was to shy to speak to them though.
RIP Barry

To me to you to me to you.
Even though I have never seen their series, you would had to have been living on the Moon not to be aware of that catchphrase.

I remember asking myself where he went after I grew up and out of ChuckleVision... I see he was in Benidorm with his brother, a series I really want to watch also. I shouldn't be surprised if ChuckleVision lasted until 2009. It is a great show and always will be. RIP Barry Elliot.

If there's a mistake made at work or if a van's late getting back off round, the driver's always greeted with a rendition of 'Chucklevision-chuckle,chuckle vision! To me to you!'
RIP Barry.

I didn't watch their shows, however I have seen clips and they are great slapstick. At face value, they are naff but upon watching they are likeable and funny. I suspect they are better than their contemporaries like Little & Large, Cannon & Ball, Les Dennis etc. To avoid being lumped-in with these run-of-the-mill acts, it was probably a shrewd move to focus on children's TV. And they have had a long career as pros, with an 'Opportunity Knocks' win as far back as 1967 and an appearance on 'New Faces' in 1974 . R.I.P. Barry Chuckle.

Bloodstock heavy metal festival perhaps not the first venue that comes to mind when paying tribute to Barry Chuckle but there were a couple of nice shout outs to him from the stages last weekend. Best one was an entirely fitting "moment of silliness" mid-morning which consisted of the stage crew ineptly passing a large piece of board to each other - I'm sure you can guess the rest.

THat's why they were so likable. Their humour just appealed across generations as it was so simple and appealing to kid an adult alike.
