I know this is hard because I like them all too. Each season brings something special with it I know, sadly though it's this week's Death Match. So tough, pick one only.. I went for Spring. Coz I like to see all the nature type stuff come to life. March hares, frog spawn, all that jazz. Although my favourite picture was the three ladies enjoying the donkey ride. Very British, say what.

Well based on the picture, being Welsh and all - top one is an appealing vote but I am going for winter. Having lived in sunny Spain and wintry Austria I can confirm it is easier to warm up than it is to cool down. Where I live right now spring and autumn are pretty much things of the past. It is only really winter into summer, then summer into winter. Vernal days are pretty much gone now.

My favourite seasons are Spring and Autumn but I prefer Spring.
I don't like Summer as much as Spring and Autumn as I get Hay Fever and the TV is usually rubbish until the new programmes start in Autumn. I only like Winter for Christmas as it's too cold and it gets dark early.
I like Spring the most as I like the feeling of coming out of Winter and it being warmer and having more daylight.

I can confirm that all of the above photos were taken by myself in and around the grounds at Stanton Hall and the surrounding Gwithian Parish in Cornwall, England. Except of course the still from the film The Empire Strikes Back, which was obviously filmed at the Hardangerjøkulen Glacier, Finse, Norway. I assume that photo was taken there by either David Prowse or Peter Mayhew (note how tall the camera man must have been for Ford and Hamill to look so small..) whilst on set.

I don't know ! This is a simple but difficult question. I can equally praise and whinge about all the seasons. I'll get back to you later with my vote.

That would probably explain why the sheep tried to attack me and had to be gunned down by Tonks' musket.. Cetltique or no it went down well with some potatoes, carrots and mint sauce.

I love Autumn, but when I was in the USA, Autumn was called Fall, and you've not experienced Autumn (fall) till you've been to Vermont. I hate winter as the gas bill rockets!

Surprising how relatively unpopular summer is at this stage of the vote. But I can't eaasily pick one.

My favorite is Spring with Fall , as we Americans call Autumn, a close second. As I get older I hate Summer more each year.

I thought this was going to be about favourite Minder Seaon not the bl*ody weather. In the Death Match, expect the unexpected. Besides which, didn't Minder have series not seasons?

You mean there are 4 seasons? In scotland we have one, cold! Winter for me. I remember when I visited Scotland. I arrived at night, so next morning when I eagerly stepped out ready to be a tourist, I had to turn around and go back to my room to add layers. I honestly wondered if I'd brought enough clothes. Lol Yes indeed, very weak.

Great topic because it gives me the chance to share these pics I took of a hill I pass on my way to work. Spring Summer Autumn Winter I am voting for Autumn. It's colourful and sunny enough to enjoy the days without the heat. Spring is beautiful but it can be a very rainy season here. Summer is far too hot in Melbourne with consecutive days over 35+ degrees Celsius and it's bush fire season. Winter is cold, and though I don't mind rugging up and walking, by the end of Winter I've had enough.

Summer for me. I love waking up when it's warm enough to have breakfast in the garden, go to the beach for a swim and then come home for a barbecue followed by an hours reading in the garden whilst sipping a very long G and T.

Baz, I'm sold! The minute you start rationalising things with BBQ'd meat, books and gin and tonics, Summer is starting to look pretty flipping good.

Autumn just edges Spring for me. I love the light in the early autumn, like I enjoy seeing things flower in spring. Summer is fine - but there is too much expectation & it's nearly always cr*p weather! Winter "is what it is" dark, cold & often wet and/or windy - but at least you know what yr getting! These days it's difficult to get one consistent given day in summer - let alone a few days. We had a "mini heatwave" for a week maximum in mid June & a few days decent weather over the Aug Bank Holiday & that was just about it!...

Looking at those photos,I can see why I voted for Autumn. summer is the least appealing of those 4 photos!

Spring - when weather may be mild, but not too hot.
That said, wind is the worst kind of weather, at any time of year.

It is like a different world you describe Baz. You certainly wouldn't fancy swimming in the North Sea, however much sun is shining.

We are over 600 miles south of you I suppose, there's bound to be a difference.

Summer by a long shot. There's nothing negative about it to me. All the rest have downsides to them.
Spring would be second, because we made it through the worst time for me (winter) and summer is right around the corner. Autumn is 3rd, although it was my favorite as a kid, probably due to Halloween and the start of school.

Much that I love Winter for all its festivals/events, I do like it when I can hang washing outside, wake up and go to work in daylight rather than dark, so Summer get my nod.
