Which operating system do you like using the most? Why is that? PICK ONE!

I use Ubuntu.
Coz the idiot that sold me my laptop (in 2013 - I only had a Spectrum 48k up until this point!) was some wretched computer nerd and he swore by them.
Since then all I've ever used is Ubuntu. Which is pretty user friendly but when I need help doing something, I've gotta teach myself because no one knows what I'm on about.
At work I use Microsoft, but the f***er can smell my fear and mugs me off on a daily basis! eg.. On Friday I was writing up a report, saved it, went to attach it to an email and..... Then I couldn't find it. Gawd only knows where it had decided to hide it! In the end I gave up looking and just rewrote the report.
Infernal contraption!

Having used Microsoft DOS and Windows since 1989/1990 for the simple fact I am incredibly fast (trumpet blowing) at using this platform, I have always stuck with it. It is not without its flaws though and constant upgrades and new versions mean productivity can be affected.
I am a fan of Android over Apple and have used Puppy Linux quite a bit too. The latter is a must for old hardware. If I have to pick one though, it's Windows for me.

WIndows for me too, although I do like Android, never touch Apple, something about that lot which is just not right.

I don't go near Apple either tbh as they seem to charge top dollar for everything. That said, iPads are pretty straightforward to use and can see their appeal.

Microsoft seems the most familiar, and to me is easy to navigate.
One of my phones is Android, and I find it quite acceptable, though Microsoft remains definitive.

Apple iOS/macOS for me. OS X is now called macOS.
I had Windows computers for years but for me Windows Vista was the final straw as far as using Windows for home computing. I then bought an iMac which has made using a computer enjoyable again rather than dealing with all the issues I had with Windows. I also like the way it integrates with my iPhone. It's not perfect but still much better than Windows for me. I also think iOS works well on the iPhone too.
I can live with Windows at work but do still find it annoying at times!

I've got a soft spot for Linux (Ubuntu version) after using it to rescue a lap top that I belted in frustration promptly knackering the Windows operating system for which I didn't have any recovery disks. Nice look to the Ubuntu desktop and comes bundled with various useful free applications like Open Office and Firefox. Downside is if you're going to use it for anything much beyond word processing, spreadsheets, net surfing etc you have to be quite tech savvy. Arch, possibly you agree?

I think you can sleep walk through the everyday stuff. That's why I never kicked it into touch.. The more complicated stuff goes over my head sometimes like when you're giving it commands on the terminal. Generally speaking I find it more user friendly than Windows.. Though I don't hate any of em really. I just use whatever needs to be used when it needs using. Also, Where's all the negativity for Apple suddenly come from. All of a sudden everyone seems dead against them but if you went back 10 years folk were loving em. Is it their over exposure and success that has wound folk up? I don't get it...?

I have a manual of command line unix next to my desk at work. It's all very versatile once you learn it but tbh it requires a lot of time investment before it starts to become productive. I was reading about the 'uniq' command just the other day as it happens. To do this in Windows you would need a piece of software BUT I wonder how many users really need what 'uniq' offers. www.computerhope.com/unix/uuniq.htm

Using both Apple and Microsoft since the 80s, I've never had so many bugs, issues, connectivity problems, etc than I've experienced with Microsoft over the years. For ease of use and less headaches by a long shot, it's definitely Apple for me. I was an Apple fan long before they became mega popular once the iPhone exploded (which I actually don't like). My home is mostly all apple and ipads, but I do not have an iPhone. I actually have a Windows phone.
