It's Magnum P.I., Hardcastle & McCormick and Hunter for me. I like the Hill Street Blues, CHiPs and A-Team themes too. Irrelevant factoid: James Cosmo was in 'Roughnecks'.

This is a great death match jno. I do like TheA Team, Magnum and Hill Street Blues. Will have to check them all out when I've finished work.

Why no Six Million Dollar Man? Pretty sure that's one of his.

Why no Six Million Dollar Man? Pretty sure that's one of his. According to Wikipedia that was written by Glen A Larson

I was convinced that was his first one.

There are others he has done but to be honest, ... thus I didn't include them here and totally forgot to add the 'Other' option for this death match. I am pretty sure all the 'big' ones are on here (as I sneak orf an watch an episode of Magnum P.I. ready to play along on my guitar).

I voted Hill Street Blues, Rockford Files and Magnum P.I. Same here. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Magnum, I did like the theme tune. Have to admit there were plenty I didn't know.

The season 1 Magnum P.I. theme was different. Although I love the show this original theme is a bit naff compared to the Post/Carpenter composition:

Yes, that series 1 Magnum theme tune isn't great compared to the famous one. The last season reworking of The A Team wasn't as good as the original.

The 'Hunter' theme was also reworked across the various seasons but I have always preferred the 80s guitar sound of the original. I doubt remember the later series of 'Hunter' being broadcast in the UK and I think it might be true to say after the first ir second seaaon, that was it for British viewers. It's a very good show and Stepfanie Kramer is babe factor 10.

don't know a lot of them, tbh, and my favourite is Rockford, so I only chose him. :-)

A-Team - the drums are good, it's just that after that it sounds like it was done on a cheap korg keyboard.

The theme tune for season 5 of Quantum leap was reworked too (apart from the last ever episode the went back to the original theme)
I chose Magnum , CHIPs and the A-TEAM

I never knew he did the tune to the BBC series "Roughnecks" back in the 90s.
I nearly had a walk on part in one episode. I was walking to work at the bakery one morning when I saw this TV crew filming outside a highrise block and I recognised one of the actors, John McGlynn, who was being filmed walking into the flats, but I crossed over to avoid. It was a scene from this series, which I cannot remember much about bar being about working on oil rigs, did have some decent actors in it though. Didn't like the theme tune much after another listen.

First choice was easy, The Rockford Files, after that it got a bit difficult. Even shows I don't care for had good themes written by Mike Post. I settled on Hill Street Blues and Magnum P.I.

A-Team for me, Quantum Leap, and Hill Street Blues...I've never actually seen that series, but I've always loved the theme tune.

Half of these I've never heard. But, come on, it HAS to be 'The Rockford Files'!!!
"Hello this is Jim Rockford, at the tone leave your name and message and I'll get back to you..."
BEEP
"Thanks for letting me know you're out, Rockford. Now I'll be coming round to break in to that caravan of yours. Have a nice day!"
Da-da-da-daaa...
CLASSIC!!!

NYPD Blue is a great show, despite not having the catchiest theme tune. Dennis Franz as Andy Sipowicz is a superb character. I have watched every episode. It never really jumped the shark.
