Gordon Murray, the man behind Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green, has passed away at the grand old age of 95.
Excellent shows and must have been enjoyed by many members of this forum.
There is a timeless quality to these shows and I for one am the proud owner of these on DVD.
RIP

Watched a few not so long ago and they're still brilliant. So much better than the dross churned out for children today.
RIP.

Their production was very involved and took a long time.
A compelling mix of the Edwardian (e.g. Dr. Mopp) and the modern (e.g. Jonathan Bell), as was common in the mid 1960s (The Avengers, Adam Adamant etc).
RIP Gordon Murray.

Loved his stuff - was a big fan of the Trumptonshire trilogy. Watch with Mother....... that takes me back!!!!
Had the sound of Windy Millers windmill on my phone as the text notification a few years back. Think I've still got the videos in the loft.
Thanks for the memories - RIP

I enjoyed it. lFirst time I had seen them in colour, my family having a black and white set till about 1980. The Godbrat did not get to watch as I felt that due to the changes over time there was too much outside his sphere of understanding. A poor decision on my part.
