Canadian filmmaker Norman Jewison has passed away at 97 years of age. Among his films were "In The Heat Of The Night" from 1967, "Fiddler On The Roof" from 1971, "Jesus Christ Superstar" from 1973 and "Moonstruck" from 1987. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_JewisonRIP, Norman

A fabulous age and a remarkable legacy left behind, but sad to hear that Norman Jewison has left the film set as it were. My favourite of his films is the original The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), starring Steve McQueen. Quite possibly the coolest movie ever committed to celluloid.
RIP and respect.

The first film I immediately thought of that he did was Rollerball. A very decent film.
I thought about going to a fancy dress party once as Jonathan E, then thought better of it after realising the roller skates could be a risk assessment too far when drunk. The crash helmet and knee pads would’ve been useful though I reckon.
RIP Mr Jewison.

Rollerball was the first one I thought of as well, but a pretty impressive CV all round really.
