Saddened to read this online 😓 As a lifelong Forest fan Trevor will always mean a lot to me.
Thank you for the cherished memories 🌳

Ex-Wednesday player/player-manager/manager from 1991-1995. Brought in some excellent players. Messed up with the Cantona deal but hey, I totally see why. Following Big Ron was a tall order, he was well liked. Francis did well though. 3rd one year and two cup finals the next with a 41.2% win rate overall. He was replaced by Pleat.
RIP Trevor.

I remember the tail end of his career, player manager at QPR and scoring some nice goals on the Match on ITV. Too young to remember his £1m move but you saw the Forest clips over the years, and had his spell in Italy too. He did a great job at Sheffield Wednesday, two cup finals in 93, top 4 or 5 in the league and Europe.
And also has that immortal line on the OFAH theme tune.

Just seen this, really sad, far too young. He was THE English striker of the late 70s/early 80s. I remember well the 'first million pound player' and all the media fuss, but he certainly proved himself.
And Forest were a great side to watch then; Shilton in goal, Viv Anderson, Stan Bowles, John Robertson, Tony Woodcock, Garry Birtles of the top of my head...
Francis and 'Robbo' Robertson were the ones to watch...

Very sad to hear this news. I can remember him when he was player/manger at Sheffield Wednesday.

Great player from my teenage years. Thanks Wayne for posting videos of those two iconic goals from the 70's. Trevor will always be remembered as the first million pound player. 69 is no age. RIP Trevor.
