Actress best known for her roles as Marjory Frobisher in 'To The Manor Born' (1979-1981) and as Daphne Trenchard in 'Three Up, Two Down' (1985-1989). She also played Margaret Thatcher in the TV film 'Anyone For Denis?' (1982) and played the character of Lady Truscott in an episode of 'The Good Life' (1975-1978). She was 84 RIP.

An English rose.
Her scene with Roger Moore in North Sea Hijack is funny.

I used to really like Three Up, Two Down.
I had actually been googling her just last week wondering if she was still around.
I had read something about Michael Elphick and Three Up, was mentioned and as you do, you go straight to IMDB.
She was on a Radio 4 Extra programme the same evening.
I had realised both her sons were actors too.
RIP

I also like 'Three Up, Two Down' Playback released series 1 & 2 on DVD but there has been no release of series 3 & 4. It has had the odd repeat from time to time, I'm sure the BBC repeated it in the afternoons about 10 years ago. It also stars Ray Burdis and Lysette Anthony.

Although I liked the programme, I am sure the appearance of a young and very pretty Lynette Anthony would have been part of the attraction. Hopefully it might turn up on BBC4 or the iPlayer soon, with the passing of Angela Thorn.
