A fabulous talent - and also did a great deal of good as an MP. Someone who got into politics for the right reasons and didn't allow the nature of political life to corrupt her ideals. A huge loss. RIP.

Sad news again!!
Great actress and could do both comedy (A Touch of Class "Why don't you just jump on and hope for the best" 😁)) and dramatic roles (Women in Love).
Up Luton Town (if no one remembers that see Morecambe & Wise's sketch'Cleopatra'😂)
RIP Glenda.

I thought she was great in the adaptation of Le Carre's A Murder of Quality. Her Ailsa Brimley was a solid, practical foil to Denholm Elliot's intellectual Smiley. I'd loved to have seen more of them together as a kind Holmes and Watson style crime fighting team.

I knew her as a politician more than an actress as AlanH says she got into politics for the right reasons a rarity nowadays, although didn’t always agree with her politics she was a real campaigner and a decent MP we could do with a few more like her in the House of Commons now. RIP

Quite a career and an interesting life. I didn’t know she was an MP for so long. Rest In Peace.

I’ve seen hardly anything she’s been in if I’m honest. Women In Love, The Tempter and Triple Echo are among the few that I’ve seen.
RIP Glenda.
