A brave, bold fashion designer who dared to be completely different, completely individual. Always seemed to possess a sense of humour that the industry she worked in sadly lacked. Respect. RIP.

Very true. Probably not too many here on the forum will have worn many of her creations to be fair, but punk wouldn't have been 'punk' without her. RIP

She and Malcolm McLaren initially took over the rear of the shop at 430 Kings Road in 1971. That small shop would incubate a revolution in music, fashion and culture worldwide that is still felt today. Their influence is incalculable. I wonder when The Queen handed Westwood her OBE thirty years ago was Her Majesty aware that Westwood was one of the people who made her 1977 Silver Jubilee such a landmark in British history. God Save The Queen Of Punk!
