en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greedy_SmithI recently found out via Colin Hay (Men At Work) that Andrew "Greedy" Smith of Australian pop group Mental As Anything died late last year. Greedy is most famous for writing and singing "Give It Up" which became a huge worldwide hit after being featured in "Crocodile" Dundee' a year after its Australian release. I loved that song and still have the 7-inch single with the "Croc Dundee" sleeve I bought back in 1986 when I was 14. According to wikipedia the nickname "Greedy" was due to eating a load of chicken on stage, but many years ago I heard a different - more plausible - version, which is that the band ordered a load of KFC or equivalent for the studio, but when it arrived "Greedy" took delivery and scoffed the lot before the band got near it. Whatever, it was clearly good-humoured and according to Colin Hay he was a lovely and really funny guy.
