I just read the sad news that Rupert Hine has passed away aged 72. He produced an array of artists and bands from a Howard Jones, The Fixx to Tina Turner. He also released his own solo albums in the 1980s. He was a great songwriter and producer.

I'm sure it's Hines plural?
Decent singer, famous for Escape (Pina Colada) and Him which will inspire me to download both. Rest In Peace Rupert.

Here is a couple of Rupert Hine’s tracks. The first one was from his solo album Immunity called I hang on to my Vertigo and the second is when he was in the band Quantum Jump with the track The Lone Ranger.

And not forgetting 'Who is the Doctor' by Jon Pertwee... which he produced.

I absolutely loved that Lone Ranger record & often play it on You Tube & recently left a comment , saying I couldn't believe it was 40 years ago that it was in the charts . R.I.P Rupert Hines
