I’ve donated to myeloma uk the cancer which took my dad last year, I would like to thank you jno for reminding me to put my hand in my pocket, and send my condolences to you, as even as years pass it never gets any easier without a loved one

I am pleased to announce on here that a charity gig for thecraftyleek over two years later (thankyou Covid), that took place in Wales on Saturday 30th July managed to raise 410 GBP for Macmillan cancer support. A great night was had by all and we even managed to play a few TV themes too: Hawaii Five O, 'That's Livin Alright' from AWP and Chicken Man, aka the Grange Hill theme

A late-comer - really sorry to read this, jno. Apologies, I've not been around for a while (for similar reasons, truth be told) and am catching-up with the many threads and posts here. Please accept my sincere condolences. I'll make a donation to Macmillan when I'm more awake.
My family has been though the same trauma; my mum lost her brother to cancer aged 34. She used to say; it does get slightly easier with the passing of time - but life was never the same.

Today is the 1st June and the one day of the year where I ask/remind forum members to think about donating to their favourite charity on behalf of our former forum member thecraftyleek (my twin brother David), who passed away on this day in 2020.
Unfortunately we live in a world which relies on giving and charitable donations from kind folks like those on this forum and elsewhere in the world.
I know from personal experience that any small amount makes a difference to someone somewhere, and I'm sure you will have a favourite charity that is close to your heart. I have just donated to Macmillan Cancer Research who do a great job for people day in day out, and helped thecraftyleek no end at very difficult times.
Thanks for reading, now please think about donating even a miniscule amount to a charity you feel is important to you. However small the amount, it will make a difference.
Cheers, jno donate.minder.org
