Ah, Ted Roach. RIP. In truth, I assumed he'd died years ago - maybe because his character was a hard-drinking, hard-living sort.
A sad loss though.

He was in a comedy sketch show too, although I can't remember what it was called.

Terrific in the Bill, I often used to see him in the chip shop that I used to use in Charlton, South East London.

RIP Tony. Ted Roach was an all time classic TV copper alongside Burnside and Tosh Lines. I’d also assumed he’d checked out years ago.

God, I'm not the only one then who thought he had passed a long while ago. Ted Roach was such an excellent character. Called to the big Super's office in the sky. RIP

A shame he never made an appearance in Minder. As a Ted Roach character he would have fitted right in (on either side of the law)
