He was amazing. He put the Liberace into Rock n Roll but still made his Rock n Roll tougher than the rest. He never reconciled the god vs the devil sides of his life - god, the gospel, purity vs the devils music, sex and drugs - like many black American artists who came after him and also had a church background. Along with Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley he laid down the basis of rock. No one shouted/screamed like Little Richard before he did. Elvis changed his way of singing when he heard Little Richard. When Otis Redding was a teenager he saw Little Richard in concert and decided his own future. Jimi Hendrix played In Little Richards backing band in the early 60s. I got to shake his hand in 2005 and his hands were huge, making me wonder how he actually managed to play piano. RIP an absolute legend.

Big age. Wouldn't know a lot of his music. Growing up in the 80s you'd think of him as Prince's dad. And he would have appeared in the spotlight for his role in 'Down and out in Beverly Hills'
